Frank Caringella
Frank Caringella is the founder of Ghost Sightings and the Paranormal
Research Group of Southern California. The main purpose of his group
is the scientific investigation of phenomena that suggest that currently
accepted scientific assumptions and theories of the paranormal phenomena
are valid.
Caringella grew up in Southern California and after having a personal
paranormal experience made a deliberate decision for the creation
of his group s he could perform my own research and gather documentation
of a wide variety of our spontaneous paranormal experiences throughout
the state of California. As time permits, Caringella will eventually
post all of his information on th website Ghost Sightings and the
Paranormal Research Group of Southern California and hopes those of
you that visit the site will develop a better understanding of the
paranormal phenomena.
Caringella has a Bachelors Degree’s in Psychology and is currently
seeking degree in Parapsychology. He has have over 16 years of investigated
casework in paranormal activities and truly enjoys his work in this
field and taks e what he does very seriously.
Caringella has performed numerous private and historic sites investigation
throughout the state of California and will be venturing out all through
the United States early next year.

1. Where do you see ghost hunting and paranormal groups, web sites or Ghost information, tours, Books Paranormal Radio and Television in 10 years?
Currently, with the introduction of television shows and radio shows
people have become extremely interested in the paranormal. Eventually
the novelty may wear off and the availability of groups and web sites
may decline. However, I do not believe that the fascination of the
paranormal and the unexplained will ever diminish. There will always
be a demand for information, tours, etc.
What would you personally consider the definitive proof that ghosts
are real?
That is a difficult one. I would have to say that being able to interact
with an apparition. I just saw an episode of Ghost Hunters and Chris
Fleming had an instrument that I felt would be instrumental in the
paranormal field. He was able to communicate with alleged sprits by
asking them simple yes or no question. If accurate, we have taken
a giant leap forward in the field.
2. What is the most real evidence you personally have uncovered so far?
In a completely isolated location, we were able to record responses
to questions while conducting EVP work, on two separate digital recorders.
3 . Are you skeptical of the claims other make of their findings?
Of course I am. A few individuals out there may be deceitful and may
try to pass off counterfeit evidence as genuine.
5 . If you could investigate your "Dream Haunted Hot Spot”,
where would it be?
The Stanley Hotel…
6. . What was your first paranormal encounter?
It was when my grandfather passed away. I saw what appeared to be
an apparition of a man wearing a hat at the end of the hall just outside
of the entrance to his bedroom. I closed my eyes and when I opened
them, it was still there. After a few more seconds, I watched it fade
away. That is when I started dedicating myself to this field and I
have not looked back since.
7. What scares you about Ghost Hunting or Paranormal Investigations?
Not much scares me but to be honest, it is not the dead that scare
me, it is the living…
8. . If you could work side by side with one of the Paranormal Investigator
greats, who would it be?
It depends on the ones definition of great. I have met some of the
most intelligent, entertaining and dedicated people in the field of
paranormal studies throughout the years and it was a pleasure to have
teamed up with each and everyone of them.
9. Read any good Paranormal Books lately?
I just finished two books, How To Hunt Ghosts By Joshua Warren and
Shadows of the Dark By John Zaffis.
10. What Question do people ask you most when you tell them you are
a paranormal investigator or personality?
Most people want to know what you have experienced, what evidence
you have and why you decided to this in the first place.
11. In your opinion, Where is the most Haunted city in America?
I have not been there yet so I cannot say, but once I find it, I cannot
wait to go! Many of my colleagues have told me that they feel Atlanta
is the most haunted. I will let you know if it is, I am planning on
checking it out for myself next year…
12. Do you feel more people should get involved with Ghost hunting
or Paranormal Investigation?
That is up to each individual, every one of us that do this do it
for different reasons.
13. What does the future hold for you?
I hope that someday in my lifetime I find the answers to all of my
questions.
14. Paranormal Conventions do you see them growing?
As long as the interest grows so may the conventions. It is a great
way to network, exchange idea's, experiences, techniques, and meet
the people you chat on line with.
15. What is your most favored paranormal phenomena or subject?
Apparitions.
16. Tell us about your best moment in investigating or conference
attending for you?
Being touched by something or the feeling of a presence that is not
visible to the naked eye.
17. What is the hardest part about being a paranormal investigator?
Acceptance… Most people think your a little weird and consider
what we do not credible. We setup an investigation aboard the USS
Hornet and when we arrived, one of the docents said to me, “shame
on us” for what we do.
18. How do prepare for a ghost hunt?
The most important part of all of our investigations is HOMEWORK,
HOMEWORK and more HOMEWORK! I like to know as much history of the
location before we even consider it for an investigation. I am extremely
fortunate to have one of the best research specialists in the field.
19. Have you ever taken a ghost Tour? And, What about it did you not like?
Yes, they can be entertaining. It is a great way to learn history
of a place.
20. What in the field of ghost hunting and Paranormal Investigating
needs the most attention?
Better technology. We have come a long way since the Ouija Board though!
