"The Top Ten Best Paranormal Experts in the world today"
Today's Ghost Hunters And Their Extreme Paranormal Challenges
BY Gary Morgan
There is in this world many haunted locations that seem to defy explanation. And of these locations we as individuals are barred access to even investigate them or their hauntings. The answers to why and who haunts them are always subject to great debates. From the many hidden secrets of the La laurie mansion in old New Orleans, to the posted no trespassing laws of why we can't investigate the real ghosts of Zombie Road or the White House. To us the Ghost Hunters of America there are many real haunted locations that are just not accessible for us to venture into.
Abandoned homes, buildings and cemeteries often have signs that state "No Trespassing". And of course we should respect that by all costs. I have even come across cemeteries in many states that when asked will tell you no ghost hunting allowed. This is because so many amateurs today abuse the actual rules and cause it so many of us are denied access after their supposed investigations and vandalism's. I am in no way pointing fingers but from mishandled paranormal research and un professional conduct many of the most haunted locations in the world or off limits to us in the field today.
Many of us are turned on to the paranormal by hearing about EVP's, ghosts hauntings seen and documented evidence such as video and real ghost photos. Also the challenges of communicating face to face with a real ghost demon or entity from another world is just what we seek.
When out on your personal ghost adventures do you ever think this could be the proof the world is waiting for?
And how do you actually break this news to the world of the non believers?
Do you personally think your evidence or documentation is all that is needed to prove this?
Well first of all remember if you collect evidence then someone has to come behind you such as another creditable team of paranormal investigators and they have to state that it is verified by them. Then another team does the same then another. But that of course does not make the skeptics believe in the real aspects that a location is haunted. Then they'll review and analyze their findings with some the most respected experts and specialists in the paranormal field. But remember as a illegitimate pseudo science we are not recognized and in our field no experts actually exist. Just because someone has a book or is seen weekly on television does not mean they are expert ghost hunters by any means.
If I had to make a list of those in the field today of who I would consider an expert in the field of paranormal investigation I certainly would not put a couple of plumbers on the list as my first choice. But in from what I have seen over the years they seem to know more than many of the internet radio hosts and several paranormal investigators I have met at conferences do.
Toping my list were many paranormal investigative greats like the late Hans Holzer, Ed Warren and of course the great Houdini. Many have brought to light the unbelievable wealth of great information about paranormal investigations to each of us.
I believe in this list below that these are the real most extreme ghost hunters who explore our real paranormal other world encounters today. Through their tireless research and encouters they have faced not only the cold dead of night but the most extreme conditions, frights and insights to the paranomal world around us. A place where so few dare to tread.
"The Top Ten Best Paranormal Experts in the world today":
1. Brad Steiger is the author/coauthor of 166 books with over 17 million copies in print. Steiger was born on 19 February 1936 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to a mother and father who were farmers. He claims to have lived "in a haunted house with thumps, bumps, doors opening and closing, and men and women walking around all night in period costume.
Steiger claims to have written his first book when he was seven years old, and has published 162 books with over 17 million copies in print, including the biography of Rudolf Valentino, later made into a feature film by British director Ken Russell. From 1970-1973 Steiger wrote a weekly newspaper column, The Strange World Of Brad Steiger. He has authored over 2000 newspaper columns.

Personal life and beliefs
Steiger is married to Sherry Hansen Steiger, a former model. He is a former high school teacher, and college instructor. He began writing when he was a school teacher in his native Iowa when he had writings published in Fate Magazine and other publications. Throughout the 1960s Steiger co-wrote 22 books with other writers. Steiger claims to be politically independent, and cynical of politics. He lists his political heroes, however, as Jonathan Swift, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson. When asked about individuals he admired, Steiger listed Ralph Waldo Emerson, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Mark Twain, William Shakespeare, Jesus Christ, Mary Magdalene, William James, Fredric W.H. Myers, Rudolf Steiner, Sir William Crookes, and Mario Lanza as those he would have liked to have met.
In an online interview with Dan Schneider, Steiger claimed to be an 'Emersonian transcendentalist,' and summed up his philosophy this way:
I believe humankind is part of a larger community of intelligence's, a complex hierarchy of powers and principalities, a potentially rich kingdom of interrelated species, both physical and nonphysical. I believe that humankind’s one truly essential factor is its spirituality. The artificial concepts to which we have given the designation of sciences are no truer than dreams, visions, and inspirations. The quest for absolute proof or objective truth may always be meaningless and unattainable when it seeks to define and limit our Soul, which I believe is eternal, evolving higher, seeking to return to the Source from whence it came. I believe that technology plays a far smaller role in the lives of nations than the spirit, for the essence of humankind is its intellect and its Soul. Machines, associations, political parties, and trade balances are but transitory realities that must ultimately wither, decay, and come to nothing. The only lasting truths are Soul, imagination, and inspiration.
Steiger and his wife are also animal lovers and believers in animal rights. Steiger claims, "We are appalled by any mistreatment of animals—chemical testing, dogfights, rooster fights, bull fights. We must learn to respect all living things if we are to survive with dignity as a species. I doubt if I could live for any length of time without a dog. Fortunately, my wife and children feel the same. We are all dog owners. Dogs are our connection with nature and the Earth Mother.

The No. 1 Paranormal Book Of The Year Voted By You The Visitors To hauntedamericatours.com
Otherworldly Affaires: Haunted Lovers, Phantom Spouses, and Sexual Molesters from the Shadow World BY Brad Steiger
THE GREATEST POWER OF ALL Of all the forces that move men and women, none is more powerful than that of love and sexual desire. This primal impulse apparently extends into the otherworld and is responsible for some of the most astounding chapters in the literature of psychic phenomena. Here are amazing yet absolutely true stories of - apparitions of lovers seen at their moment of death, - jealous lovers who have sought vengeance from beyond the grave, - sexual molesters from the other world, - warnings and advice from lovers who have passed over, - passionate liaisons between psychic mediums and their contacts, - seducers from UFOs, and even more extraordinary tales. Originally published as HAUNTED LOVERS, this book contains a multitude of actual case histories, many of which were recorded here for first time. BRAD STEIGER has been writing about the paranormal for more than four decades, during which he has produced more than 160 books on the subject. He regards this work, which was certainly ahead of its time, as one of his best books on the paranormal.
2. Jason Hawes - Jason Conrad Hawes (born December 27, 1971 in Canandaigua, New York) is the founder of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), based in Warwick, Rhode Island. He is also one of the stars and co-producers of Sci-Fi Channel's Ghost Hunters, which has just started its fifth season. Founding member Jason Hawes once had a paranormal experience, one he mostly keeps to himself, that changed his perception of the world around him. Filled with a desire to dig deeper into the realm of the unknown, he began meeting with like-minded individuals in a loose-knit coffee clatch that eventually became know as the Rhode Island Paranormal Society (Rips).
Roto-Rooter plumbers by day, ghost hunters by night - Hawes and Grant Wilson of the T.A.P.S. (The Atlantic Paranormal Society) have worked to legitimize the idea that there are indeed some real ghosts going bump in the night.
Featured on the Sci-Fi channel on Wednesday evenings, Jason and Grant made ghost hunting more mainstream. By using a variety of high-tech tools like EMF detectors, digital voice recorders, and infrared cameras, they've taken a more scientific approach to hunting ghosts. Their objective isn't to prove the existence of ghosts at a particular location, but to DISPROVE any notion there are ghosts. It's a very different perspective and one that gives these ghost hunters a more skeptical slant.

Taylor was born on September 24, 1966 in Decatur, Illinois, a Midwestern city that is steeped in legend and lore. Even the hospital in which he was born is allegedly haunted by a phantom nun! He grew up fascinated with “things that go bump in the night”, as well as the writings of haunted travel writer Richard Winer and legendary ghost hunter, Harry Price. In school, Taylor was well-known for his interest in the paranormal and often took friends on informal ghost tours of haunted places all over downstate Illinois. He would later turn this interest into his full-time career.
In 1989, Taylor started working in a bookstore and a few years later, he wrote his first book on ghosts. It was called Haunted Decatur and delved into the ghosts and hauntings of the city where he grew up. He also created a tour that took guests to places that he had written about in the book. The book became an immediate success and its popularity, along with his previous experiences with ghost hunting, established Taylor as an authority on the supernatural. The book and tour led to media and public appearances and numerous requests to investigate ghostly phenomena.
In 1996, Taylor organized a group of ghost enthusiasts into an investigation team and the American Ghost Society was launched, gained over 600 members in the years that followed. The organization continues today as one of America’s largest and most honored research groups.
In 1998, Taylor moved his operations, which now included the American Ghost Society, a history and hauntings bookstore and a publishing company called Whitechapel Press, to Alton, Illinois, near St. Louis. In Alton, Taylor started his second tour company, Alton Hauntings, which took guests to local haunted places in the small Mississippi River town. He would go on to put the place on the map as “one of the most haunted small towns in America.” He currently resides in Central Illinois with his wife, Haven, in a decidedly non-haunted house. Several years later, while living in northern Wisconsin, he heard from some friends about the Paulding Spook Light that appears nightly on a desolate road near the town of Watersmeet, Michigan in the upper peninsula region. Burns states that he briefly investigated, and quickly determined that it was being caused by distant car headlights and tail lights - the highway wrapped around and was exposed through the trees where it crossed a hill about 5 miles away, however the encounter was inspiration to pursue a career as a paranormal investigator.

Richard L. Smith Investigator, EVP specialist, author, and founder/webmaster of www.paratexas.com. As a paranormal Investigator, Rich was naturally led into the study of Electronics Voice Phenomena because of his background in electronics, beginning with schooling and service with US Naval Intelligence (aviation) in the operation and maintenance of audio and video analysis systems of radio and radar signals.

He has identified particular spirits by name, some who are acting as "guides" for him, and others who are just what he refers to as "spirit companions".
One spirit in particular who calls herself "Rachael" has a seven year history of EVP communication with Richard, and claims to have lived with him in a previous incarnation as his wife while he was a merchant sea captain in the late 1700's and early 1800's.

Robb Demarest, a native of Albany, N.Y., joined the Ghost Hunters International team after three years with Florida Ghost Team, an affiliate of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (founded by Ghost Hunters' Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson). Robb's responsibilities on the team have ranged from research, technology management and client relations, to his current position as assistant director. He has also participated in speaking engagements on behalf of the group.
The evasive nature of paranormal investigation fueled Robb's desire to become involved in the field at an early age. He found it fascinating, he says, because it "was like reading a mystery that had the last page cut out."
As the lead investigator of the Ghost Hunters International team, Robb hopes to push the boundaries of current knowledge in the field and approach these enigmas with the open-minded skepticism for which his TAPS counterparts are known.
With a background in psychology and business administration, Robb has previously worked as an ESL teacher and works as a professional tutor, when he isn't investigating with TAPS. A practicing martial-artist, he also has a passion for traveling — for which Ghost Hunters International is a perfect outlet.
Sherri Brake-Recco is the owner and creator of Haunted Heartland Tours and Haunted History Walks of Canal Fulton Ohio. Sherri has had an interest in the paranormal since a small child growing up in NE Ohio. She has been investigating the paranormal for 22 years and has documented 100s of investigation of private homes, businesses, and other locations. Her interest in history and the War Between the States blossomed during her teen years when she learned she was a distant cousin to General Stonewall Jackson and the 3rd great granddaughter of a Confederate soldier. The last several years have also found Sherri "acting" our interests as a member of a Ohio Civil War re enacting unit who portray a Confederate unit.
Sherri began leading haunted tours at a century old building in Canal Fulton Ohio in 2003. Leading sold out tours for nearly 2 years convinced her that there was a growing need for organized haunted events in Ohio. As a result, Haunted Heartland Tours was begun in 2004 and with a successful 1st year passing, she incorporated haunted bus tours, Haunted History Walks of Canal Fulton, nighttime cemetery walks, paranormal classes, haunted dinner events and presentations. Sherri's tours are a blend of history, the paranormal as well as bit of science and skepticism. Haunted Heartland Tours runs year round and features haunted bus trips thru Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Kentucky. In 2007 there are about 100 events to choose from. Sherri reseaches, organizes, and leads all tours and events for Haunted Heartland Tours.
Dustin Pari, Ghost Hunters International investigator, is a familiar face to longtime viewers of the Ghost Hunters franchise. Long harboring an interest in the paranormal, he began his career as a teenager investigating local hotspots in Rhode Island. He was later invited to join TAPS by Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, and began appearing regularly on Ghost Hunters as an investigator.
TAPS' trip to Ireland in 2006 was a turning point for Dustin--during the investigation of Leap Castle, he had the most intense paranormal experience of his life when an unseen force in the tunnels beneath the castle attacked him. The Leap Castle investigation was his first investigation outside of the United States. It would not be his last.
Since joining the GHI team, Dustin's role has been one of both investigator and historical researcher, uncovering the truth behind centuries-old myths and legends.
He is the proud father of three, and is happily married to his beautiful wife, all of whom he misses greatly when he travels around the globe.

PAUL F. ENO, 54, who has been called "the most intelligent voice in paranormal research today," is an award-winning New England journalist, the bestselling author of seven books, and a graduate of two seminaries who holds a rare Ph.B degree in philosophy.
He began his long career as a paranormal investigator in 1970 at the age of 17. His first major case (Connecticut's “Village of Voices”) captured the imagination of readers around the world when he wrote about it in FATE Magazine in 1985. Other famous cases he has been involved with include the Bridgeport, Conn., poltergeist outbreak of 1974, the mind-blowing “Haunter” case of York, Maine, in 1978, and the haunting of Wistman's Wood, England, in 1989.
Eno’s books include the Amazon.com bestseller TURNING HOME: GOD, GHOSTS AND HUMAN DESTINY (2006), FACES AT THE WINDOW (1998 – now in its third printing), FOOTSTEPS IN THE ATTIC (2002 – now in its second printing).
Eno is much in demand as a talk-show guest around the nation, most recently on “Coast to Coast A.M.” with George Noory and Art Bell. He has presented his interactive programs on the paranormal all over America and in Europe. He has appeared on the Travel, Discovery and History Channels. His unusually long experience in the field, his hair-raising adventures with famous hauntings, along with his utterly unique, riveting theories about the paranormal and its meaning for our understanding of the world and ourselves, draw capacity crowds wherever he speaks. His audiences love his wit, and are always moved by his compassion, his message of deathless hope, and the accounts of families he has helped.
Over the past 10 years, Eno has been “coming out of the closet” as a powerful and unique psychic/intuitive. While he is not a medium, Eno has an uncanny ability to “connect” with people, not only to help them solve paranormal problems, but also to see who and what in their families and/or daily lives they need to connect with to accomplish practical goals, fulfill day-to-day needs or achieve spiritual growth.
A fellow of the American Society for Psychical Research and a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, Eno holds a rare Ph.B degree from Wadhams Hall Seminary College. He went on to do postgraduate work in theology, philosophy, psychology, history, literature, military science and international law. Graduate schools he attended included Trinity College, Hartford, Conn.; and St. Vladimir Orthodox Theological Seminary, New York.
He has been a news editor at The Providence Journal, and a managing editor, reporter and feature writer at several other newspapers in the Northeast. Articles by him have appeared in Yankee, Fate, Pursuit, American History Illustrated, and other national magazines in America and Britain.
A true "Renaissance man," Eno also is a writer on history, and his 2005 book RHODE ISLAND: A GENIAL HISTORY, written with Emmy Award-winning local television newsman Glenn Laxton, immediately attracted the attention of the History Channel, which taped segments with Eno for its special on the New England Hurricane of 1938 (2006) and its upcoming series on the histories of the 50 U.S. states.
Brandy Green Her first ghost hunting endeavor began when she founded her own paranormal investigation group in the Twin Cities. Now she begins her latest feat as the Case Manager of the Ghost Hunters International team.
After studying the psychology of death and dying, Brandy began to expand her understanding of the psychological, social and historical aspects of loss and the afterlife.
She has worked to apply that knowledge towards clients and cases that her home team has worked on, as well as those that she encounters with GHI.
Having worked under florescent lighting in office desk jobs for years, she loves her new position with GHI and is thrilled to have the opportunity to investigate un-chartered locations and use state of the art equipment to make contact with the paranormal.
Aside from psychology, anthropology and the afterlife, some of Brandy's interests include: Egyptology, crypto zoology, travel, sketching, old movies, music, and theater.
