The Real Zombies and Haitian Law

MARK OF THE ZOMBIE MAKER

THE ZOMBIE MAKERS MARK

A law that seems to condemn zombie creation went into effect in Haiti in 1835 [ref]. Article 246 of the Haitian Penal Code classifies the administration of a substance that creates a prolonged period of lethargy without causing death as attempted murder. If the substance causes the appearance of death and results in the burial of the victim, the act is classified as murder.

Voodoo Zombie Haitian Penal Code:

Article 249. It shall also be qualified as attempted murder the employment which may be made against any person of substances which, without causing actual death, produce a lethargic coma more or less prolonged. If, after the person had been buried, the act shall be considered murder no matter what result follows.

The methods of creating and controlling zombies vary among bokors. Some bokors use blood and hair from their victims in conjunction with voodoo dolls to zombify their victims. Others methods of zombification involve a specially prepared concoction of mystical herbs, in addition to human and animal parts (sometimes called ZOMBIE POWDER).

Featuring 30 chilling stories of real-life zombie encounters, this comprehensive and unsettling study draws upon traditions found throughout the world to dispel common depictions of zombies as lurching, flesh-eating automatons made popular by countless movies and books. This fascinating collection includes the stories of the Devil Baby of Bourbon Street, a monstrous creature complete with horns and tail that still lurks in the shadows of the Big Easy; Black Mama Courteaux and the great zombie war, involving hundreds of zombie soldiers battling for the supremacy of their queen; and the swamp child of Mama Cree, who still roams the bayous of Louisiana. In addition to the stories, a variety of zombie-related facts are explored, including ceremonies and initiations, zombies throughout history, sacred zombie and voodoo-related sites, and zombies and monsters of the Bible.

Tales of real zombies the walking dead have long been associated with ghostly tales and voodoo hoodoo secrets of the great south. From stories of Zombie soldiers fighting the great war of the States. And to terrifying tales of those of Zombie babies being born dead from the wombs of living mothers.

Zombi
A mechanically driven human corpse.

"A name given by certain primitive, superstitious peoples, particularly in certain sections of Haiti, to disinterred human corpses endowed by sorcery with power to carry out in a mechanical way the wishes of the sorcerer. It is sometimes also applied to the supernatural power or essence which these superstitious practitioners believe may enter and reanimate the dead body. An article of the Penal Code of Haiti makes the practice of Zombieism a criminal offense."

Also:

"Originally in West African voodoo cults, the deity of the python; hence in Haiti and the southern U. S., the snake deity of voodo rite. The supernatural power or essence which it is believed may enter into and reanimate a dead body; also, a corpse so reanimated. A Zombi is a soulless human corpse, still dead, but taken from the grave and endowed by sorcery with a mechanical semblance of life-it is a dead body, which is made to walk and act and move as if it were alive."

Paranormal Ghost filled tales of voodoo - hoodoo Religion and zombies, and strange Urban Legends perpetrate a type of folklore or "Fakelore", endlessly circulated by word of mouth oral tales through generations. They are often repeated in news stories articles and widely distributed by e-mail.

American Zombie

Yes they are even often found on many web sites such as this one. Please be fore warned, that not everything you read is the truth! And such is the Tales of Voodoo and Hoodoo magic rituals to RAISE the dead and those real Queens and real Zombies in America.

By Lisa Lee Harp Waugh

"ZOMBIE - FIED" AND "ZOMBIFACATION"

Growing up in Texas you hear many old stories of the glory old days of the South. About how the great civil war effect us all. You also hear ghost stories and chilling stories from you Grand-daddy's and old front porch Granny's who know just how to frighten children who don't know any better. Their haunted stories are the stuff that real good campfire ghost stories are all about.

True Urban Legends or just a bunch of great Zombie stories that always get better with the second telling are often spoken of in hushed tones in the south. People round her are never afraid to talk about ghosts. But to pry them to speak of Voodoo and Hoodoo. The Dead that do not stay in their graves and the many curses and ways that Zombie makers made a fortune selling slaves made from the dead corpses of the Confederate army of Lee and the Union's Yankee smelling dead. ALSO PLEASE SEE: Baron Samedi: The Voodoo God Of Zombies And The Dead

Many Voodoo Hoodoo Kings and Queens lived in the great southern heat of the hot summers of late 1800's. They practiced their black Magic from Florida to the coats of CaliforniA and New Orleans to Boston. Mixing up dead things in a big black stew pot, to grinding up corpses and zombie fingers and toes to make special Zombie Brand powders that only the very rich and evil could afford alone. ALSO SEE: The Real Zombie: Zombies In Just Plain English

Some did good helping those in need and others did themselves good by selling powders and ju-ju's and things that would actually make you really ill to think about. The brand of voodoo that was happening in this golden era of zombie time gave birth to many strange tales and over grown stories of how many of the from the great War between the states had made these voodoo hoodooing people very rich and well respected. And certainly important. These half white - half black Creole Queens and Kings plied their special dark swamp medicines amulets, charms and zombiefied wares from coat to coast after the Yankee President Grant took the White House.

The deep dark secrets of a Voodoo Hoodoo person at the time was always well accepted. And these special Creole people were never more sought after and revered then those of the Great White Mamba's who's names are still remembered today. The old red bricked crumbling white washed Tomb of Marie Laveau is the spot where many say she still grants wishes from beyond the grave. But only if you promise to her to come back to the tomb no later then one year and a day. If you do not show up in the allotted time then you might just find that you loose all you gained. And you are cursed because the one you love will become a real zombie when they die.

May believe in certain voodoo hoodoo circles of late that real Zombification came to America through the teachings of Marie Laveau the Voodoo Queen Of New Orleans. Others believe it was her teacher and mentor Dr. John or that of the Great Texan Voodoo Queen Black' Cat Mama Couteaux.

Zombies and making them no matter how many DVD's you seen documentaries and even books you read never fully explain the dark twitted ritual and of how a real New Orleans and or Texas style zombie is truly made.

the old spells that they speak of in my part of the world seem to have actually originated from Mama Black' Cat Couteax. but if you listen to most of the stories they elude to the fact that she was actually taught by a Great Voodoo hoodoo King from New Orleans who had a secrets circle of Voodoo Hoodoo queens that gave him all their persona attentions as they sat at his knee begging them to teach them more.

OF REAL AMERICAN ZOMBIES, HOODOO - VOODOO AND DEAD MANS GUMBO TOO!

ZOMBIE MAKING VOODOO QUEENS AND KINGS

From his harem many great Voodoo Queens have arisen. These his dark beauties the evil devil marked scandalous women that alone he trusted with his Gris- gris secrets and potions that will kill the healthiest man or beast in seconds. Only to be risen from the dead by his secret knowledge of the dark forbidden arts of the voodoo Hoodoo only he could make.

Marie Laveau, Voodoo Queen of New Orleans. She alone many believe is his greatest and most notable student. Laveau once said of Dr. John, that no man living was or ever will be as powerful as the many dark tricks and secrets he knows. And that's just being able to bring the dead back to life to do his bidding alone. The Voodoo Dr. a real Reverend of Zombies as one might call him Knew of no less then 100 spells and hexes to turn people into the walking dead. Laveau has been known to have only passed down 2 of his secrets. But their is believed to be a hand written book penned by Dr. John himself that tells all 100 secrets.

The most famous hideous blackroot magic hex and spell book of Dr. John's Zombification techniques is said to be hidden walled up in a secret evil place. Local voodoosants often tell of how Dr. John kept deep dark secrets and the he never really trusted no one living, but Madame Delphine Lalaurie, alone. After all she is the God Mother and wet nurse to the Devil baby of New Orleans.

Lalaurie was thought to have as many claimed with her diabolical husband tortured many helpless individual in her attic on governor Nichols street and Royal Street in New Orleans. But Recent new discoveries are starting to surface from my research that these poor individuals that many saw with organs out side of their bodies and gruesome looking individual were actually zombies that she hid away that her husband used to experiment on. As far fetched as it sounds it might just be the truth.

Black' Cat Mama Couteax was a real voodoo Hoodoo queen in Marshall, Texas. The stories of here in the state are often told as far away as Abilene and forth Worth. They say she even rode out the Great Storm of 1900 in a row boat. the woman was said to have been married to her zombie Lover. The Dead Mamba husband zombie was and is said to be still around and guards the treasures she amassed.

There is also the Stories of the voodoo queen in Galveston Texas who made for the Pirate King of New Orleans an army of the living dead. It is believed that she zombiefied him at his death and one day The Zombie Pirate King of Laffite will return to claim his Island in the Eye of a hurricane.

Mary Ellen Pleasant They called her The Grande Zombie Making Queen Of The West!

CALIFORNIA VOODOO QUEEN: Mary Ellen Pleasant

Mary Ellen Pleasant (died January 4, 1904) was a 19th Century female entrepreneur of partial African descent who used her fortune to further abolition. She worked on the Underground Railroad across many states and then helped bring it to California during the Gold Rush Era. She was a friend and financial supporter of John Brown and well known in abolitionist circles. After the Civil War she took her battles to the courts and won several civil rights victories, one of which was cited and upheld in the 1980’s and resulted in her being called, “The Mother of Human Rights in California”. But many do know the great dark secrets she kept. and that she being one of Dr. Johns greatest pupils pride more secrets from him then did any of her contemporaries.

The old stories handed down to us often tell how she was Dr. John's favorite lover. Supposedly his zombification book was hidden in the Lalarie Mansion. after the great fire one dark night Pleasent herself is said to have been seen digging in the building and carrying out some charred papers bound tight with the skin of a cotton mouth snake. those that are of her secret voodoo society maintain that no papers of zombification exist except one document that contains no less then 3 spells to turn a living man into a zombie on the spot. If there were any other states Mama Sallie of Compton, California. That's all she left us. If more spells and they were in her possession then they are hidden fast away.

This the dark book of powerful voodoo secrets, Pleasant kept is called "Pleasant Book of Dark Deeds", and it is kept under lock and key in secret vault in Marin County, California. The book is reported to contain spells handed down generations past and some on zombification are said to be included including personal writing of how Pleaasant Made an army of Zombies to help build the city.

Dr. John's Favorite of all who most vied for all his his attention was a very young Voodoo Queen of great beauty. He called her "Little Sister Sally" just because he liked that name, and the way it rolled of his tongue. Sally who real name was Alice Slowe Jefferson was the youngest voodoo queen ordained and personally taught by him alone. She was also Zombified alive as was Dr. John.

He taught her his secrets only on dark of the moon nights. And they were often seen many say standing at the tomb of Marie Laveau still appearing very much alive and laughing to this day. But the Voodoosants of Voodoo King Armando, they say she was his lover until the day he died. Though he was advanced in his age she was a mere girl of 12 when he took her into his fold.

Dr. John and little sister Sally

REAL ZOMBIE BRIDES WERE THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER CREATURES TROGHOUT THE SOUTH AFTER THE GREAT CIVIL WAR. aND IT WAS BELIEVED THAT CREOLE ZOMBIE WOMAN THEY WERE CERTAINLY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL. AND AFTER MANY SAW THE BEAUTIFUL LITTLE SISTER SALLY ON DR. JOHNS LONG ARM EVERY RICH MAN IN THE UNITED STATES HAD TO HAVE ONE.

Many believe it she that has his Dark book filled with all of the 100 plus spells to zombifiy someone. Many of the secret society Dr. John, believe she is the only complete Zombie Queen of them all. That through some dark trick, mysterious spell that Dr. John alone perfected in St. Louis Cemetery Number 2. The exotic Creole beauty, the Daughter of a rich Plantation owner, she alone is the worlds most perfect ever youthful living Zombie Queen. Those of Armando's Societies that will tell you in hushed tones will say. That it she that made him become a zombie on the bed in which he died. And in turn he did the same to her. But did it on her 17th birthday so she would never have to fear the passage of time.

Secrets of A Powerful Voodoo Queens of how they made their Zombies are often the best kept secrets of all voodoo hoodoo societies.

You can often find out what the ritual entails but never the actual secret spoken chants and curses.

Many Southern zombie making ritual usually consist of digging up a fresh corpse from it's tomb or deep grave. The body is then fed strange potions and whispered to in strange chants. Many individuals who have witnessed the evil dark deed say if it is disturbing to view. You stand frozen in the shadows as a voyeur to some devil dark secret satan spell. You see a recently dead man being made into a zombie before your eyes. Imagine the image of a beautiful Queen riding a rotting corpse like a wild banshee having dark magical sex in a graveyard. Certainly this you will never forget. Imagine the strange image as candles flair and mosquitoes bite hard into you skin.

Then the spell comes to conclusion as the zombie corpse comes to life. at that moment the voodoo queen takes him into what seems to be a deep kiss. and bites off his tongue to make him her eternal slave.

WHY AND HOW VOODOO QUEENS MAKE SPECIAL ZOMBIES

From what we can ascertain from the voodoo tales that Dr. John the mad genius made over 100 attempts before he created the perfect zombie juices and powders to make a living breathing zombie that will not die age and be truly mortally immortal.

The most dangerous of zombies are those that stay an infant. Voodoo Midwife Voodoo queens often played this cruel trick on unsuspecting victims. They would as anyone would sit between the legs of the soon to be mother. And chanting a secret spell. When the child was emerging from the womb they would snatch them up at the second of birth. The cunning Midwife Queen would break the child's neck then bite off the tip of it's tongue as it soul hung between the point of living and dead. Thus making the enfant diabolic as they were called.

Voodoo hoodoo societies in New Orleans say from this voodoo spell the secrets to eternal life from black magic spells was born. And that the demon zombie children straight from the womb never aged as mere mortals did. These always lovely young girls took over 30 years to grow into a girl or boy in its teens. Many tell that is why Marie laveau a never grew old that she was of zombie birth. Which Dr. John had performed her zombification at birth himself.

In the West, zombies may be considered the stuff of Hollywood B films but in Haiti they're part of everyday life. Zombies are taken so seriously here that turning someone into one carries the same penalty as murder. But, as our documentary this week shows, outlawing the practice is doing little to stop it. We look at how Haiti's troubled political climate is encouraging child sacrifice and murder.

Zombies by voodoo means are made for many reasons. For power control and for slave labor that no one can fault you own. To own a zombie just meant that the dead worked for free. They did eat but not as often and not what people ate.

Zombie Gumbo is a concoction that they say Black' Cat Mama Couteaux made to feed her zombie army each month. it consisted usually of dead animals found on side of the road, onion peelings and and scraps the dogs would not eat.

Laveau's is said to have fade her zombies a fine gumbo made with fish heads scales and bones and any thing except banana peels which tended to constipate a zombie.

Often the story of not feeding salt to a zombie is actually over played. And yes it can destroy a zombie but if given to them in moderation it tends to keep a zombie frozen for a few years until needed. A full dose of pure white salt and that's about a full teaspoon today would put an end to animated corpse in a minute or less. They usually fall to the ground with violent convulsions and all the fluid drains from their bodies.

Real Zombie Powder: The supposed Ingredients and The Method

WARNING PLEASE DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME. IT WILL NOT WORK UNLESS YOU KNOW THE ACTUAL CHANTS AND PRAYERS AND INVOCATIONS TO THE GREAT BARON SAMEIDI.

The Voodoo hoodoo Queens kings priests and priestess's and tribal shamans and medicine men amongst the slaves created a unique voodoo hoodoo serum. This Serum gives all the effects of death. A form of this serum is called Zombie Powder. Religion Voodoo" An Article In The 1995 A.D. August Edition Of "Focus," The Serum Contains:

One MURDERED mans Human Skull And Assorted Bones from a water rat, a cat that is pure white, an iguana tail, the teeth of a dead man 19 years dead. a good dose of pure Vegetable Oil. And a dash or two of Datura.

Two Blue Agama Lizards of the male sex. If you can't have the lizards sex or personally do not know stop here now.

One Big Toad Called 'Crapaud Bonga' (Bufo Marinus). It must weigh 1 lb.

One Sea Snake (Polychaete Worm) brain and sex organ.

A Sprig F Tcha-Tch, "Albizzia"

Several Pods Of Itching Pea, "Pois Gratter"

Two (Preferably Female) Puffer Fish Of Which Must Be The Sea Toad, "Crapaud De Mer" (Spheroeroides Testudineus).

Add Tarantulas, Millipedes And White Tree Frogs To Taste.

The Method:
The potion or Coup Poudre should be prepared in June, when the female Puffer fish contains its greatest quantities of Tetrodotoxin. Be careful not to touch the mixture at any time as it can act through skin. Ingredients 8 to 12

Tie the snake to the Toad's leg, put them in a jar and bury it.

This is so that, the Toad "dies of rage", which increases the concentration of its poison. Place the skull in a fire with Thunderstone and some blessed oil and burn till black.

Roast the animal ingredients and grind with the uncooked plants in a pestle and mortar. Add unheated shaving of the bones.

A few sacred spell (Juju), now grind your mixture to fine powder, place in a jar and bury in the coffin with the rest of your source skeleton if possible for three days.

You now have your Coup Poudre or Zombie Potion. It is traditionally sprinkled in a cross on the threshold of the target. It can only be introduced by touching the skin. If taken internally death will be final.

Upon the Zombie's awaking from the grips of death one must bite the tip or as some Voodoo Hoodoo prefer the entire tongue. the tongue should be kept always in the company of the person who owns the zombie. and this is said because the zombie will obey only that who has it.

If the tongue is swallowed the the zombie is bound only to the Boukur, King queen Or voodoosant that created it. but the Zombie will obey someone else's commands if their zombie master ( the maker who swallowed the tongue tells them too.

But this is only depending on what of the supposed 100 rituals of Dr. John you wish to believe.

Zombie Powder Finished: How To Use

Zombie Myth A more certain method is to sprinkle it down the back or in the shoe. The victim will collapse, apparently "Dead". House slaves would then show the slave masters that the slaves were "Dead". The slave master would not bother to bury the slaves. He would leave that to the Slaves to take care of the burial. However, the slave masters would come to the funeral to make sure the slaves are truly dead. The slaves would bury the "Dead" slave in a shallow grave face down, with a hole dug to create an air pocket. This is to increase breathing space for a few hours.

Sometimes they would put hollow twigs in the grave head stone in the form of a cross, so that they can breathe, giving the appearance of a heap of dirt with a cross made from bamboo, Which can be hollowed out. This apparent death, examination, would result in the appearance of no pulse. Because the drug reduces circulation, gave the slave master the impression that the slaves had a fight amongst themselves, one was killed and buried and it was over. Later that night, the slaves would dig up the grave and free the "Dead Slaves," telling them to run and go amongst the native Americans, until they escape into another state.

When the "Dead" slaves were Seen in other towns and reported to the slave owner as being alive and kicking. The slave owner would not believe the report because they saw the slaves, dead and buried. They would check the grave, which would be empty. This would frighten the slave masters. Thus, began the many Zombie and living dead stories, as well as the slang Spook."

However, this (Sample) Ifa verse would probably have been executed before a single ingredient of the Voodoo serum had been prepared. The Voodoo priest that is going to mix the Zombie serum would have consulted a senior Ifa priest for divination about every single Ingredient of the Voodoo serum. He would be asked to perform sacrifice so that all his Zombie Serum would end up saving lives and slaves instead of killing them. Note the sample Ifa verse below is not unique, it will differ from region to region and from one Ifa priest to another. It is just a sample to emphasis the point.
