Paranormal
Convention Gremlins
I have seen booths fall
down and tables collapse. I have seen
Venders and many Paranormal writers,
and stars books, pens and gear disappear.
Is it theft or sabotage? Is it fans
going over the limit? or could it
be the ghosts that follow these haunted
individuals around?
Sometimes people become
targets of supernatural occurrences.
Especially paranormal writers, and
ghost and haunted anomalous investigators.
Things go wrong at every convention
I attend. From lost presentations
to collapsing booths, and missing
money and dealers stock. Also notice
the many personal injuries, strange
feelings, and tension in the rooms?
Have you personally witnessed lost
power, mic's won't work, lights that
go out. Or is it direct Sabotage from
fellow investigators? Who really know
unless we investigate the strange
things that are paranormal.
The first annual TAPSCON
was held at the beautiful Belleview
Biltmore Resort Hotel & Spa in
Clearwater and was the new annual
event unlike Central Florida has ever
seen. Features of the event included
autograph sessions with celebrities
like Linda Blair, of “The Exorcist,”
the cast of “Ghost Hunters”
from the SciFi Channel, cast members
from CBS’s “Survivor”
reality game show, as well as numerous
other movie and T. V. Stars. The weekend
featured lectures on ghosts, demons,
psychics and weird creatures, by the
world’s leading experts on such
topics.
Nancy Planeta, Co-Organizer said
t “Visitors to the convention
can get psychic readings, celebrity
autographs, watch demonstrations,
shop with vendors, and see authentic
T. V. and movie memorabilia.”
And we did! I also heard many have
already bought a VIP ticket for TAPSCON
09 (yep, that's right, next year!)
The larger the convention
Workshop or group meeting behind closed
doors things are going on that just
cannot be explained. In 2008 alone
I have been to 6 paranormal main Events.
Robert the real haunted doll made
a special guest appearance to spook
out a few guest at Taps CON 2008.
The paranormal convention held in
Clearwater, Florida in May 2008. This
was the first time the 105 year old
Robert the Doll left his home town
of Key West, Florida. And all the
Paranormal Paparazzi was there in
full force to take his picture with
or with out his permission...
The real paranormal
prolific words around the Convention
Came out of Grant Wilson's own mouth
came. " Everybody, if anything
goes wrong blame Robert the Doll!"
Later in the night Sc-Fi's Chief handsome
devil of a Ghost Hunter and resident
now a days amateur Plumber Jason Hawes.
Well jokingly said, that he said it
first, as a few things didn't go as
planed as you all can see. He spoke
to those in attendance. But I question
you all did Robert The very real Haunted
Doll ... Well did he? ... Do it for
real?
This is why I have taken
it upon myself to get together a team
to ghosts hunt Conventions. Now I
fly in to a convention with anyone
else who is able to get there a day
or three in advance. Why you may ask?
Well to investigate the location for
any haunting's, real ghosts or paranormal
activity prior to the Event. I also
stay for two to three days after just
to see if the haunted level of the
location ends or goes dormant after
these the cream of the paranormal
crop leave the location.
INVESTIGATION
WITH GHOST HUNTERS CAST MEMBERS
As a VIP Package holder, I had the
option of attending group investigations
led by cast members of the show Ghost
Hunters. I personally walked the halls
of the haunted hotel with Jason, Grant
or other Ghost Hunters cast members.
Alternatively, others were paired
up with Patrick Burns of Tru TV's
"Haunting Evidence" and
Ciaran O'Keeffe of the Travel Channels
"Most Haunted".
Ghost
Hunters Gossip
Ghost hunter do talk. Yes and they
then to tell tales on other groups
brining up their ghastly ghostly pasts.
You can often find out who did who.
If someone has a criminal record,
who is gay, or any dirty little secret
you could ever want to hear. Hey that's
life as Sinatra said... and how it
works. It is all that happens all
the time at many different levels
of the world. And even in the Paranormal
world of real ghosts.
Roto-Rooter plumbers Jason Hawes
and Grant Wilson moonlight as ghostbusters
for clients who claim to be experiencing
paranormal phenomena is how they have
been billed in the past. But now in
todays world they have become the
standard that so many groups wish
to hold as the most professional in
the world to copy.
My favorite recent convention story
tells of two rival Paranormal Groups
actually had a fist fight in the parking
lot. The cops came, people were arrested
a near riot broke out. I bet they
will be talking about that one for
years.
But the latest roumors or that a
Major Parmormal Investigator is investigating
the Paranormal Convention Circuit.
And for a fact For sure that they
are. Ghost Hunters bring ghost with
them. It's true. We all know that
for a fact. Don't we?
Consider the fact that the large
majority of those in attendance are
in the paranormal field. We attract
ghosts because we wan to research
them. And we all know particular ghosts
do stalk us cling to us and protect
us.
Steve Gonsalves has been very out
spoken to tell a few paranormal investigators
when asked. Do you think this place
is haunted? His answer was, "
It is now!" It is because he
is of the new belief that ghosts can
come and go as they please. They won't
really expound on it on TV but we
all know it's true.
Another thing that goes on at conventions
that you will surely learn is what
paranormal Investigators like or respect.
Or that lack of they have for one
another. Just because I reccomend
a Troy Taylors Book to a person to
read. Just then another faction group
memeber walks up and praises Taylor's
as being the real deal Best Ghost
Writer In the world. People try to
out due people all the time. And make
a statement. So Do I think that Ghosts
do the same. And they haunt us at
these events more then we can imagine.
Necromancy In A Dark
Hotel Room
So I decided to put all this conjecture
that ghosts come to our conventions
and workshops. " I wonder if
a another ghost is charging admission?"
" Oh, Well. " It was the
first night of the convention and
4 :AM when I called up a spirit to
appear before me and so question.
The lone Ghost identified it self
as Debbie Trenton. So if anyone who
attend Taps CON, a paranormal convention
held in Clearwater, Florida in May
2008, know who she is let me know.
I have a message for you.
Debbie said that several ghosts have
come with people at least a five to
one percentage. She told me that their
were more ghost in the convention
room then people.
Paranormal
Conventions Stink!
At least that was the
word from my long time old pal Yvonne
Brown formally from Marshall, Tx and
now resident Floridian. "The
ghost in attendance are to many for
me to comprehend." " And
the mixture of foul and pleasant odors
co mingling together is a deadly combination."
(Brown actually Smells real ghosts
when present in a location). She said
she never smelt so many ghosts at
one time in her life. The stench was
so unbearable to her she actually
fainted into a member of another teams
arms. Many chucked it off as claustrophobia
but she revived quickly and had to
leave immediately saying. "Today
I have found the most haunted spot
on earth!" " It is Taps
CON!" Brown says "Some ghosts
are arid Smelling and very much too
much of a stench to bare". "The
many strange smells often make me
very sick to my stomach" She
says.
Special thanks to the
following teams for their support
and for helping to keep TAPSCON Great.
Without these teams and their volunteers!
Also many of my many new best friends.
Mickey Of Miami, Jupiter Florida Ghost
Wranglers, SWFPI (Southwest Florida
Paranormal Investigations), Yvonne
Brown and Cazadores Cubanos del fantasma
de Miami, KPI (Kissimmee Paranormal),
FPR (Florida Paranormal Research),
P.R.O.O.F. (Paranormal Research Organization
of Florida) And all the other guest
that delightfully were entertained
be me, and I by them.
I was certainly surprised
at how many people recognized me and
asked. Spoken to any good ghost lately?
I actually was hoping to go as a guest
of the great group Cazadores Cubanos
del fantasma de Miami, And just mingle
in the crowd and not be noticed. But
I had the best time of My life and
I have to say Tapscon Stinks of real
Ghosts in the right way!
Also if you did not
notice this article is void of pictures.
I did the Robert the Doll Ghost Photo
test and he broke my new Canon Digital
Rebel XT 8MP Digital SLR Camera with
EF-S 18-55mm f3.5-5.6. Thank you Robert
I love you too!
About
Lisa Lee Harp Waugh
Have
The Dead Spoken To You Lately?
Lisa Lee Harp Waugh
The American Necromancer
The first lady of conjuring the Dead.
The ancient art pf Necromancy is still
alive today with Waugh at it's main
investigator. LISA LEE HARP WAUGH
Is a necromancer in the 21st century.
She is by what may call a real conduit
to the world of the dead. She dressers
in ceremonial robes, draws magical
circles on the floor and commands
spirits from Heaven, Hell and all
places in between to appear before
her and communicate with the living.
As a teenager she studied heavily
The Black Arts by Richard Cavendish
and The Grand Grimoire by A.E Waite,
the Malleus Maleficarum and anything
she could get her hands on by the
great by Eliphas Levi, John Dee and
the great beast, Aleister Crowley.
www.ghosthuntersofamerica.com
A professional Necromancer and founder
of the Sorcerers Guild of greater
Houston, Texas. Waugh has been practicing
and conducting rituals for many paranormal
investigators for over 20 years. Waugh
also paints many spiritual and common
murals and lives in a small Texas
town with her three dogs. She also
over the years makes ceremonial candles
and is active in ghost hunting in
the deep South. Summoning the dead
to communicate with the living is
a natural daily occurrence for Waugh.
"I have been doing this since
I was a child." " When I
lived in Galveston, Texas about 15
years ago, I was introduced to the
ancient rights of ceremonial Necromancy
as a ritual by a great shaman called
Freebird, and because of him and his
diligence to the art, I still practice
it until this day." "However,
if a spirit has something vital to
impart to you, they will call upon
you, not vice-versa and no ritual
is needed".
She then Got involved with the local
Hoodoo Voodoo's of the area and new
doors where opened to her concerning
communicating with the dead.
Waugh was baptized and trained in
the secret dark religion by Bianca
The Voodoo Queen of New Orleans. Waugh
lived in New Orleans for 3 years until
she learned all about spells, hex's
and how to hoodoo voodoo people as
she says.
Waugh also owned and managed the
fantastic Candle Making Company in
Galveston, Texas for many years that
catered to the eclectic patrons taste
of many of the states visitors and
just curious. She then moved to Houston's
Famous Vodoun area 5th ward. This
now where she resides to this day.
Her home today is a testimony to Necromancy
and her new found religion of Voodoo
Hoodoo.
Necromantic practitioners such as
Waugh conducts, and entails respect
and reverence not only for the spirits
of the dead, but for the spirits of
Hell, Heaven and all places in between.
Waugh has a large home one room she
has painted black where she calls
the good spirits. Another painted
all black where she calls the infernal
spirits.
The
American Ghost Hunters Society is
currently accepting new members all
across the country for our network
of ghost hunters, ghost writers and
ghost enthusiasts.
We
Investigate all types of Paranormal
and Unexplained Phenomena through
Research and Documentation.
Waugh is often compared today in
her facial features and many similar
practices as being a modern Dr. John
Dee. He of course was one of the most
fascinating characters of the Elizabethan
period just as Waugh is recognized
as such in modern times. The events
of Dee's life are filled with science,
experiments, astrology and mathematics
which he aligned with magic, the supernatural
and alchemy! All of which is Waugh's
personal passion and driven honest
beliefs. These are also stead fast
traditions she does and true in practicing
openly. A few of her select followers
say she is the actual reincarnation
of John Dee. Waugh also practices
astrology, and is very continuously
studying the Black Arts.
Waugh, a real big hearted Texas gal
does not comment on any of this privately
or publicly ... for she is humble
in her paranormal studies and research
to the core. Gina Lanier a close friend
of her's relates: "Waugh is a
very outgoing friendly, charming and
a downright loveable person, and gets
along equally well with the living
and the dead." Lanier and Waugh
once investigated a real Haunted Texas
Federal Prison together for close
to two years in the early 1990's and
had many startling paranormal adventures
while there.
Lisa Lee Harp Waugh's accomplishments
have been achieved through hard work,
persistence, and a goal-oriented attitude
required to overcome obstacles and
reach difficult goals. Waugh shares
her approach to communicating with
the dead's success in this motivational
performance that's sure to inspire
Paranormal Investigators to excel
in their life.
Author of 49 books about history,
hauntings and the unexplained in America
for Whitechapel Press and Barnes &
Noble Press respectively. He is the
founder and president of the “American
Ghost Society”, a national network
of ghost hunters that collects stories
of ghost sightings and haunted houses
and uses investigative techniques
to track down evidence of the supernatural.
Taylor was born on September 24,
1966 in Decatur, Illinois, a Midwestern
city that is steeped in legend and
lore. Even the hospital in which he
was born is allegedly haunted by a
phantom nun! He grew up fascinated
with “things that go bump in
the night”, as well as the writings
of haunted travel writer Richard Winer
and legendary ghost hunter, Harry
Price. In school, Taylor was well-known
for his interest in the paranormal
and often took friends on informal
ghost tours of haunted places all
over downstate Illinois. He would
later turn this interest into his
full-time career.
In 1989, Taylor started working in
a bookstore and a few years later,
he wrote his first book on ghosts.
It was called Haunted Decatur and
delved into the ghosts and hauntings
of the city where he grew up. He also
created a tour that took guests to
places that he had written about in
the book. The book became an immediate
success and its popularity, along
with his previous experiences with
ghost hunting, established Taylor
as an authority on the supernatural.
The book and tour led to media and
public appearances and numerous requests
to investigate ghostly phenomena.
In 1996, Taylor organized a group
of ghost enthusiasts into an investigation
team and the American Ghost Society
was launched, gained over 600 members
in the years that followed. The organization
continues today as one of America’s
largest and most honored research
groups.
In 1998, Taylor moved his operations,
which now included the American Ghost
Society, a history and hauntings bookstore
and a publishing company called Whitechapel
Press, to Alton, Illinois, near St.
Louis. In Alton, Taylor started his
second tour company, Alton Hauntings,
which took guests to local haunted
places in the small Mississippi River
town. He would go on to put the place
on the map as “one of the most
haunted small towns in America.”
