Are ghost or paranormal activity
driving you crazy? Does a poltergeist
live in your home now and your afraid
to look for help? Well your not alone.
Many Paranormal investigators from
around the world are having the same
problems. Ghost hunting does come
with it's real dangers, and several
novice ghost hunters are not even
aware of what dangers they bring into
their families and friends lives just
by doing investigations.
Yes "Real Ghost" tend to
follow you home and will take up residence
in your life, like it or not. They
often find that haunting you is a
lot more fun the the house or person
they were haunting. Why? Because you
give them the energy and attention
they need. You jump when they perform,
you listen when they speak. And you
don't know how to rid yourself of
them. Whether you need to get verification
that ghosts have taken up residence
in your life. Or of collecting evidence
from your own family. It is better
to collect the evidence of the activity
through a fellow paranormal investigator.
Validation is the key, otherwise it
night just be your own haunted fears
coming to the surface.

Keeping a log or journal of what's
going on in your home can sometimes
reflect your own worries or just fears.
An active imagination is often spurred
on by the real encounters that happen
to you while out investigating ghosts
else where. Once you've decided that
you are experiencing a real home "haunting".
You must realize that by having ghosts
in the brain all the time can create
ghosts in your life. Real or not your
probably actually haunting yourself.
But if you think it is a real haunting
don't call in your own team. They
might just make matters worse.
I decided to contact someone who
is in the know of such matters so
I emailed the Great American Necromancer
Lisa Lee Harp Waugh. "As Paranormal
Investigators we are actually haunting
the ghost we search for. We disrupt
their activities and many ghost don't
like that." says Waugh. "So
in many cases turn around in the ghost
world is fair play." "Remember
a real ghost might just want to drive
you crazy." " It might only
perform for you and no one else."
"Ghosts often will watch you
for months at a time before haunting
you ." "Every second learning
your habits and watching you as you
show them things about yourself that
only someone unseen would see."
Often those new to ghost hunting
go so wild in their personal search
to discover and experience a real
haunting. That they see ghosts in
everything that is going on in the
normal world around them. Not to say
real ghost are not around us. Just
that if a object falls for no reason
from it's resting place they instinctively
think it's a ghost. And in most cases
it is not. But you at this point in
your paranormal ghost hunting career
or so ghost tuned in just everything
in life is a haunted experience.
For all we know maybe actual ghosts
have live people hunting groups and
look for evidence that we are real
to them.
You know what a ghost
can do... Well, is it really happening
to you?
The first step is to determine, as
best you can, whether or not you truly
have a legitimate case of a haunting.
Here's a list of phenomena that might
indicate that your house or your life
is haunted:
Unexplained noises - A lite ringing
in your ears, footsteps; knocks, banging,
rapping; scratching sounds; sounds
of something being dropped in the
attic or basement. Sometimes these
noises can be subtle and other times
they can be quite loud.
Doors, cabinets and cupboards opening
and closing - most often, these phenomena
are not seen directly. The experiencing
party either hears the distinct sounds
of the doors opening and closing (homeowners
get to know quite well the distinctive
sounds their houses make) or the person
will return to a room to find a door
open or closed when they are certain
that it was left in the opposite position.
Sometimes furniture, like kitchen
chairs, are perceived to have been
moved. Very rarely will the person
actually witness the phenomenon taking
place.
Lights turning off and on - likewise,
these events are seldom seen actually
occurring, but the lights are switched
on or off when the person knows they
were not left that way. This can also
happen with TVs, radios and other
electrically powered items.
Items disappearing and reappearing
- this phenomenon, which we have dubbed
"the DOPler Effect" (DOP
= Disappearing Object Phenomenon),
has been examined in the article "The
DOPler Effect." Others have called
this "the borrowers" phenomenon,
and it's the familiar experience of
not being able to find a regularly
used item - say, your set of car keys
- which you believe you placed in
a spot you routinely place them. But
they're gone and you look high and
low for them with no success. Some
time later, the keys are found - in
exactly the place you normally put
them. It's as if the object was borrowed
by someone or something for a short
time, then returned. Sometimes they
are not returned for days or even
weeks, but when they are, it's in
an obvious place that could not have
been missed by even a casual search.
Unexplained shadows - the sighting
of fleeting shapes and shadows, usually
seen out of the corner of the eye.
This phenomenon has also been discussed
in some detail in "Shadow People."
Many times, the shadows have vaguely
human forms, while other times they
are less distinguishable or smaller.
Strange animal behavior - a dog,
cat or other pet behaves strangely.
Dogs may bark at something unseen,
cower without apparent reason or refuse
to enter a room they normally do.
Cats may seem to be "watching"
something cross a room. Animals have
sharper senses than humans, and many
researchers think their psychic abilities
might be more finely tuned also.
Feelings of being watched - this
is not an uncommon feeling and can
be attributed to many things, but
it could have a paranormal source
if the feeling consistently occurs
in a particular part of the house
at a particular time.
Those are some of the most common
experiences of those who think their
houses are haunted. Yet even stranger
things can happen...

"Contacting
A Paranormal Investigator That You
Do Not Know."
This is of course the next logical
step! Do not use your own group of
ghost hunting friends or team. They
cannot be as objective of you and
your plight as a stranger might. It
might be hard to swallow your pride
but contact a rival team in your neck
of the woods to come and check you
out. It os better to have a person
who can be objective to you and your
situation rather then someone that
is ready to agree with you no matter
what is going on. You are hopefully
lucky enough to have another group
of investigators in your area . Remember
that a real objective paranormal investigators
will only "verify" that
you are indeed experiencing haunting
activities. And you have not gone
over the deep end.

Others coming onto your home also
gives you the chance to critique them
as well, as what you do in your normal
practices of searching out paranormal
evidence. But I warn you . Be honest,
and allow yourself to be in the haunted
clients shoes for once. You might
just learn something you really need
to know. Maybe the forces that be
are trying to show you what you might
be doing wrong, or right.
Could the ghost that haunt you be
doing a case study of what a ghost
hunter is all about. As we know the
posibilities or endless of what real
ghosts can an cannot do. And for what
reasons they may have, you may be
the haunted target they have been
searching for.
