| Key
West as the sun rose today the almost
empty streets and light rain Monday
ahead of approaching Tropical Storm
Fay, while public works crews cleared
sidewalks of newspaper stands that
could become projectiles in high winds.
A hurricane watch was in effect for
most of the Keys and along Florida's
west coast to Tarpon Springs.
Just how powerful the hurricane becomes
will be "highly dependent on
the exact track that Fay takes due
to land interaction with Haiti and
Cuba." Said The National Hurricane
Center. Last few years year's hurricane
season was the most destructive on
record. Hurricane Katrina devastated
Louisiana and Mississippi and was
blamed for more than 1,570 deaths
among Louisiana residents alone.
All tourists were awakened and urged
to evacuate but many bars and restaurants
remained open, even if crowds were
considerably thinner than typical
for this time of year. But Voodooist
and Santeria Priest wen to the Beach
to do their grand spells and hexes
to ward off this dangerous storms
approach.
At 5 a.m. EDT Monday, the storm's
center was located over central Cuba
and about 155 miles south-southeast
of Key West and was moving toward
the north-northwest near 12 mph. Maximum
sustained wind speeds were near 50
mph. Forecasters expected the storm
to begin moving to the north soon.

Many of the islands Voodoo and Santeria
groups prayed since midnight at a
town shrine known as The Grotto, where
an etching on a stone reads, "As
long as the Grotto stands, Key West
will never again experience the full
brunt of a hurricane." It was
built in 1922 by nuns outside a Roman
Catholic church, three years after
a catastrophic storm. So far, the
86-year-old invocation has worked
every time.

"You can always feel a powerful
spiritual force and intense energy
emanating from the Grotto." Said
Yvonne
Brown a member of "Cazadores
Cubanos del fantasma de Miami".
She and Marie Santiago Founder of
the group came to Key West just to
see the power of the Grotto at work,
and to see what they could document.

Key West did suffer the brunt of
Hurricane Georges in 1998, which made
a direct hit on the island as a Category
2 storm with 105 mph winds. Key West
also felt the western eyewall of a
Category 3 hurricane in September
1948. The hurricane's calm eye passed
over Boca Chica Key 8 miles to the
east of Key West, bringing winds that
were clocked at 122 mph at Boca Chica
Airport before the anemometer blew
away.
Key West was last seriously affected
by a hurricane in 2005, when Category
3 Wilma sped past. The town escaped
widespread wind damage, but a storm
surge flooded hundreds of homes and
some businesses. The deadliest storm
to hit the island was a Category 4
hurricane in 1919 that killed up to
900 people, many of them offshore
on ships that sank. " The real
Ghosts of these poor lost souls are
said to haunt the surf when a storm
is near." "Sometimes they
appear at least a week or two in advance
to worn the islanders of what is to
come." said Brown. "There
also have been many, many reports
of seeing their real ghosts walk down
the very streets on days and nights
leading up to a deadly storms approach."
Many say this happened 2005."
Paranormal activity in Key West only
gets stronger when a storm is near."
I personally would have joined the
"Cazadores Cubanos del fantasma
de Miami" group and went along
for the ride had I not have previous
engagements. I really wanted to see
if I could personally pick up on the
paranormal activity this storm generates
to the island.
" We will be doing a full paranormal
Investigation and plan to stay on
the Island as the storm gets worse."
Said Brown by cell phone. "We
went to the beach as the might surf
pounded away and saw several Voodoo
and hoodoo groups doing their annual
Hurricane protection rituals."
said Brown." We will update you
of our findings as soon as we are
able. And of course whether you believe
in this investigations cause or not
please pray for us that we make it
OK."
Key
West Voodoo man Geraldo was at the
beach since midnight. "Each time
there is a hurricane in the gulf we
perform our hurricane ritual at a
moments notice." Geraldo said,
The high priest of the key West Voodoo
community told Brown. "Each year
it is practiced with special prayers
and chants to their Vodoun, the Loa
Agwe." " The personification
of the ocean, and the patron of sailors
and fishermen. " "Usually
only members of our group are involved
and we do not seek media attention,"
Said Geraldo. "What we do is
secret to our closed Key West societies
circle, and not all details are given
to the outside world." But Brown
and the "Cazadores Cubanos del
fantasma de Miami" were asked
to help them along with the actual
ritual.
Rituals
for Agwe, (Agoue) are held on the
beach by the Ocean, and offerings
to him are floated on hand made rafts
or small boats. Agwe is associated
with the catholic St. Ulrich. At sunrise
today as the first light of dawn,
Geraldo and his group set afloat 200
small boats and rafts into the Atlantic
ocean as they have done before this
year . "We have got to call on
the mighty voodoo Lwa and our ancestors
for help and get real serious about
it." Says Geraldo. " We
put something in each boat or raft,
we feed her and offer her cabbage
and limes, which means, 'We are wishing
hurricane Fay be decimated,' and sweet
beets, which means 'May Fay be removed
from the world.' "We give Agwe
sweet carrots which asks, 'May our
merits be increased against hurricane
Fay.'"
Local
Santeria followers like Jacintha Maria
Calayo says her group does many old
tried and true rituals to ward of
bad storms to Key West and Florida.
We take the blood of fresh chickens
and that of 9 doves and a three year
old he goat and pour it into the wave
as a storm approaches. We feed the
fierce storms, and ask them nicely
to push itself away out to sea.

Lisa Lee Harp Waugh
Have
The Dead Spoken To You Lately?

Lisa Lee Harp Waugh
The American Necromancer
The first lady of conjuring the Dead.
The ancient art pf Necromancy is still
alive today with Waugh at it's main
investigator. LISA LEE HARP WAUGH
Is a necromancer in the 21st century.
She is by what may call a real conduit
to the world of the dead. She dressers
in ceremonial robes, draws magical
circles on the floor and commands
spirits from Heaven, Hell and all
places in between to appear before
her and communicate with the living.
As a teenager she studied heavily
The Black Arts by Richard Cavendish
and The Grand Grimoire by A.E Waite,
the Malleus Maleficarum and anything
she could get her hands on by the
great by Eliphas Levi, John Dee and
the great beast, Aleister Crowley.
www.ghosthuntersofamerica.com
A professional Necromancer and founder
of the Sorcerers and Necomaner Guild
of greater Houston, Texas. Waugh has
been practicing and conducting rituals
for many paranormal investigators
for over 20 years. Waugh also paints
many spiritual and common murals and
lives in a small Texas town with her
three dogs. She also over the years
makes ceremonial candles and is active
in ghost hunting in the deep South.
Summoning the dead to communicate
with the living is a natural daily
occurrence for Waugh. "I have
been doing this since I was a child."
" When I lived in Galveston,
Texas about 15 years ago, I was introduced
to the ancient rights of ceremonial
Necromancy as a ritual by a great
shaman called Freebird, and because
of him and his diligence to the art,
I still practice it until this day."
"However, if a spirit has something
vital to impart to you, they will
call upon you, not vice-versa and
no ritual is needed".
She then Got involved with the local
Hoodoo Voodoo's of the area and new
doors where opened to her concerning
communicating with the dead.
Waugh was baptized and trained in
the secret dark religion by Bianca
The Voodoo Queen of New Orleans. Waugh
lived in New Orleans for 3 years until
she learned all about spells, hex's
and how to hoodoo voodoo people as
she says.
Waugh also owned and managed the
fantastic Candle Making Company in
Galveston, Texas for many years that
catered to the eclectic patrons taste
of many of the states visitors and
just curious. She then moved to Houston's
Famous Vodoun area 5th ward. This
now where she resides to this day.
Her home today is a testimony to Necromancy
and her new found religion of Voodoo
Hoodoo.
Necromantic practitioners such as
Waugh conducts, and entails respect
and reverence not only for the spirits
of the dead, but for the spirits of
Hell, Heaven and all places in between.
Waugh has a large home one room she
has painted black where she calls
the good spirits. Another painted
all black where she calls the infernal
spirits.

Waugh is often compared today in
her facial features and many similar
practices as being a modern Dr. John
Dee. He of course was one of the most
fascinating characters of the Elizabethan
period just as Waugh is recognized
as such in modern times. The events
of Dee's life are filled with science,
experiments, astrology and mathematics
which he aligned with magic, the supernatural
and alchemy! All of which is Waugh's
personal passion and driven honest
beliefs. These are also stead fast
traditions she does and true in practicing
openly. A few of her select followers
say she is the actual reincarnation
of John Dee. Waugh also practices
astrology, and is very continuously
studying the Black Arts.
Waugh, a real big hearted Texas gal
does not comment on any of this privately
or publicly ... for she is humble
in her paranormal studies and research
to the core. Gina Lanier a close friend
of her's relates: "Waugh is a
very outgoing friendly, charming and
a downright loveable person, and gets
along equally well with the living
and the dead." Lanier and Waugh
once investigated a real Haunted Texas
Federal Prison together for close
to two years in the early 1990's and
had many startling paranormal adventures
while there.
Lisa Lee Harp Waugh's accomplishments
have been achieved through hard work,
persistence, and a goal-oriented attitude
required to overcome obstacles and
reach difficult goals. Waugh shares
her approach to communicating with
the dead's success in this motivational
performance that's sure to inspire
Paranormal Investigators to excel
in their life.
