Many individuals send their supposed strange anomalous and reported as real "Ghost Photos" to myself as they do also to many other ghost hunters and haunted web sites for verifications. Many of these seem to be filled with what we call orbs and strange mists and often have some reasonable explanation. But always there are those that just defy explanation to even the most adept individual in the study of paranormal phenomena.

The first question I always ask when sent a reported as real "Ghost image" is Did you experience something at the time the photo was taken. I then ask the set up and also diagrams of the room the photo was taken in if I cannot personally travel there to investigate. I also consider time of day season of the year and tempature

But have you ever searched the internet just looking for real ghost photos that give you that certain chill that lets you know they are real? Feelings and images often are the real clue as is the many stories people give you concerning the images in question. Many times I find in the images it is not the ghost that is so easily spotted that intrigues me but the ones that you see after careful examination of the actual image that intrigue you the most.

The above Myrtles ghost photo sent to me by K. Bordelon shows several small faces of ghost very clearly. Where as the image of the man might be more explainable as just a reflection of a passerby.

Real Ghost Photographs Of Real Orbs And Shadow People

The term orb describes unexpected, typically circular artifacts in photographs. Sometimes the artifact leaves a trail, indicating motion.

The technical photographic term for the occurrence of orbs, especially pronounced in modern ultra-compact cameras, is backscatter, orb backscatter or near-camera reflection.

Shadow people (also known as shadow men, shadow folk, or shadow beings) are supernatural shadow-like creatures of both modern folklore and paranormal popular culture that believers claim appear as dark forms seen mostly in peripheral vision. Anecdotal reports of shadow people occupy a similar role in popular culture to ghost sightings.

Authors such as Rosemary Ellen Guiley and Heidi Hollis have helped popularize the concept through books, articles and appearances on radio talk shows devoted to paranormal subjects such as Coast to Coast AM where listeners are invited to call in to relate stories and "sightings". Shadow people are typically described as black humanoid silhouettes with no discernible mouths, noses, or facial expressions, child-sized humanoids, or shapeless masses that sometimes change to human like form and featuring eyes that are either glowing or not discernable. Movement is said to be quick and disjointed, and some stories describe the visible outline of a cloak, or a 1930s style fedora hat.

Various authors and paranormal-themed web sites have drawn beliefs and speculation regarding shadow people from religion, parapsychology, metaphysics, demonology, and the occult, proposing that shadow people represent a Thoughtform (egregore), ghost or demon that was created by events in which extreme physical/emotional stress/trauma has taken place, have been purposefully summoned through black magic or other occult practices,[4] or are creatures who exist on a separate plane of existence that occasionally overlaps with ours. Others believe shadow people are related to Grey aliens, or to the Reptilian humanoids found in conspiracy beliefs such as those promoted by David Icke.

On June 4th 2008 we experienced one of the worst storms to hit our neighborhood in 50 years. The storm or twister went through my back yard, and are neighbor’s back yard and uprooted trees. The tree next to our yard was 150 years old and was more than 100 foot tall. Some of my neighbors are elderly and on fixed incomes. So on June 8th I was asked to help. So I began by doing an assessment of our neighborhood. I took many pictures of the damage that day and the last house I went to had an Orb in front of it. But I did not see it with my eyes I only saw it when I downloaded my pictures. I did not no what an Orb was until I looked it up on the net. Fascinated with what I had found. On June 8th I went back to the house at 5oo pm to take more pictures and I met the neighbor across the street from were the Orb was spotted. He told me that the people who use to live in the house were friends for many years, that his kids grew up with there kids and they had a very good relationship, and had just talked about that they would stay in that house until they die. Over the next several months the neighbor became distant, than out of the blue he said he was moving. The man across the street could not believe it and kept saying it was so strange how his neighbor became weird and as of today he still is struggling with it, what could have happened. You see this house was made in 1953 with out a basement. So he made his own and it took him several years not until a few years ago did he finish it. You see this area once was the land of the Indian's and then taken over by Civil War Solders. The one who owned this and was Mr. Veirs. He had farm family's living all over this Neighborhood to help him with the crops, and many were buried in small family cemeteries. The land was eventually sold to developers in the early 50's. Well to end this story short when I got home and looked at my pictures. I found a very old man with his wife and baby looking straight at me from the front window. I could not believe what I saw. You see this house is empty and no one is living it. The man who bought it has not fixed it up yet. It is are belief that some of the house that don't have basements were put on top of these cemetery's, and when the man dug up his ground he stirred things up, Or the bad storm did it, or maybe both. As of today I have pictures of 21 adult spirits 6 of which are children and 2 are dogs and I think 1 cat. I have tried to take pictures with other people but nothing comes out I can’t even take my dog. I talked to the owner’s brother who is doing all the maintenance on the property. He told me the roof is leaking and water is in the basement and the city shut off his water and the sub pumps are not working I did not have the heart to tell him he has more problems his house is full of ghost His girl friend was with him. I did not want to freak her out, I have offered to help chain saw the wood and told him I would help keep an eye on the place for him. His neighbor knows him and will also help me get in. It will make it a lot easier to sell with out 30 spirits running around in it. I will have to be patient. But I will be persistent.

Please review my attached photo it was taken early morning on July the 5th around 1am..A little background I was a deputy for over 4 years in NC and the first few months on patrol I had to respond to a horrific 4 wheeler accident..when I arrived on scene there were 3 kids scattered in a back yard behind a home it appeared a 4 wheeler had hit the wall and threw all three kids off..the kids ages were 9,8,and 2 this was a full sized trail 4 wheeler and none of them had helmets on..the 2 year old little girl was sitting in between the 2 boys when she reached up and hit the throttle to full , running them into the back of the house ..as a result the girl flew over her big brother ripping his ear almost off and hit the brick wall full force...when I arrived she was unconscious, A first responder started to help me try and stabilize her..she was staring off into space and would gasp for breath every 30 seconds or so until she suddenly stopped breathing..we began to try and give her CPR..I lifted her shirt and could immediately tell she had internal injuries on the left side of her body..I worked on her what seemed to be an eternity while her mother clung to my leg screaming "don't let my baby die please".. The ems bus arrive and took over CPR and could not resuscitate her...The worst thing was is while we were working on her she was staring right through me and all I could think was I had a 2 year old of my own at home...This incident was the worst I ever had to endure..Days went by and I hadn't slept..One morning around 430 am my wife was getting ready for work I was lying on the edge of the bed when all of a sudden the bed moved and I heard a voice right in my ear..I thought it was my wife because it felt like she was pushing the bed with her knees..when i rolled over no one was there..on several occasion me and my wife saw a shadow figure cross the hallway at night and the figure was a little under 3 foot tall..many unexplainable things happened and every time they did a since of peace came over me all i can think of is it was the little girl letting me know that i did all i could that day..My question is this...I now live in Florida and this face appears in the mirror ..is it possible the little girl has followed me and stayed with me somehow..or pays me a visit form time to time??? any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

More About Orbs

Due to the size limitations of the modern compact and ultra-compact cameras, especially digital cameras, the distance between the lens and the built-in flash has decreased, thereby decreasing the angle of light reflection to the lens and increasing the likelihood of light reflection off normally sub-visible particles. Hence, the orb artifact is commonplace with small digital or film camera photographs.

The orb artifact can result from reflection of light off solid particles (e.g., dust, pollen), liquid particles (water droplets - especially rain) or other foreign material within the camera lens.

The image artifacts usually appear as either white or semi-transparent circles, though may also occur with whole or partial color spectrums, purple fringing or other chromatic aberration. With rain droplets, an image may capture light passing through the droplet creating a small rainbow effect.

Underwater photographers notice the effect also, which occurs for the same reason as above-water photographic artifacts. Sand, small sea life or other particles close to the lens, invisible to the diver, reflect light from the flash causing the orb artifact in the image. A strobe flash, which distances the flash from the lens, eliminates the artifacts.

It could be seen how in the first image that there are not orbs, however in the second photograph there are many of them. Also it could be seen how the photograph with orbs is taken with flash. The orbs didn't exist they are just dust close to the camera. If you want to try, take a photo close to a construction or a desert with flash and a 1/100s speed, and you will have ORBS.

In addition to optical effects, orbs have also been considered[who?] in some circumstances to represent various kinds of paranormal phenomena such as light beings, aliens, extraterrestrial spacecraft, ghosts, or some type of elemental being. While there are scientific explanations for the appearance or orbs in some photographs, existing scientific theories fail to explain all such appearances[citation needed]. An example is the consistent appearance or orbs and other moving light phenomena in photographs at certain locations such as the ECETI ranch in southern Washington state near Mt. Adams. Orbs consistently appear in large quantities in photographs here regardless of the type of camera used, regardless of the time of day or weather conditions. The preponderance of orbs at such locations exceed current scientific explanations and remain unexplained phenomena.

Hello,
My name is Julie Darland Wilson and I just got back from a yearly 4th of July trip in Regency Texas with a camera full of beautiful colors of globules. I first experience some spirit smoke form last July 4th right after a a tragedy of the loss of my 2 year old son dieing in a car wreck. Regency is a place that feels so very healing to the sole while your there. It helped me last year so much and felt my son presence as well and while taking over a hundred photos, there was one photo that myself and my husband were in that shows many smoke like spirits and we all concluded that it was my son. Also it was picture # 84, the year he was born. So this year, marking the 1 year anniversary of his death, everyone said take a bunch of picture as you may find your son again. Well pretty much from the first time I got to Regency I didn't have that good feeling inside me that I and everyone else had always had before, But I took over two hundred pictures and over half of them have globules in them. As I zoomed in on them I kinda got spooked from some of the faces that some had I thought were creepy and along with my feeling something just not right when arriving and my husband a non-believer. He was even a little ugly to me about the whole thing and a couple pictures seemed to have my husband with some type of creature inside his mouth. And one picture all the globules seem to be following him. I am concerned at this point what may be going on. We live in San Antonio, TX abut 2 hour drive from Regency and as soon as we got home for some reason I wanted to take picture of my home outside to see if it was indeed his place Regency or maybe my husband or I they were seeking communication with. One of the three pictures at home show their presence as well. Can you help maybe clarify some activity from your experience that could be possible here? Anything at this point would be helpful. The pictures attached are from July 3, 2009 and July 4 2009. Last two pictures are outside my home July 5 2009.

While on vacation in Texas , we were spending the last night at a friends house in Austin . We stayed there a week before but nothing strange happened. That day when we got back from Forth Worth, I started to take pictures while driving up to the house. Our friend lives on a ranch of over 40acres with a beautiful house.

I took a picture of my boyfriend about to enter the house and several pictures inside the house as well. It was the first time since being there that I felt uneasy or uncomfortable. I thought it was weird because I have stayed there several times before…last year also and never got the weird vibes. I didn’t say anything to my boyfriend cause I didn’t want to seem stupid. But the feeling never went and I thought I was letting the size of the property and house get to me. Later that night…we were watching a movie and I got up to go outside for a smoke. The feeling was there and I was rather jumpy which never happens to me. My bf came out and I told him I thought it was a very spooky night cause it was so dark. He said…well there is no moon out but its nice. I didn’t agree with him. When returning inside…I fell…or tripped and fell. My bf laughed at me and asked me what happened….I said I don’t know…I tripped on nothing!

Anyway, I flew out the next day and im back home. I uploaded the photos and while looking thru them…the one of him entering the house caught my attention. There was a reflection to the right of him…which I first thought was me…but on closer inspection seems nothing like me. The reflection appears to be of a white person, likely female wearing a red and white blouse. I am not white and I own nothing resembling that. I then thought it was an odd position for the reflection. I know for certain no one else was around that day and it was just the both of us. The owner was out on a business meeting and nobody was home.

While I zoomed in…and examining this photo…another thing caught my eye. It was to the left of my bf just above the reflection of the basket ball hoop. The colouring seemed off…as its green and then there is this grey and white blur that looked out of character. I zoomed in and was so surprised to see a face. It looks like a female or girl with longish hair. I can even see the middle path in her hair. I am to shocked. I sent this to my BF and asked him if he sees anything weird. He says yes but it looks photoshopped. I don’t have photoshop or any photo editors besides what Microsoft office offers. I told him… I just uploaded these images and they are still on my camera. I was so amazed by this photo that I inspected every other photo I took of the place that day. I saw nothing unusual…or atleast that's my opinion. But I did get a photo of the bedroom we stayed in…and there appears to be some little lights or orbs…very faded…starting from the ceiling on the right of the bed and swerving down to the left of the bed near the night stand. Nothing else like this showed up in the other photos.

I am sending it as it is. I don’t know what it and maybe its my imagination running wild. You may have to zoom in to see the face I speak of. I am hoping you may be able to make better sense. These photos were taken with a Nikon 8.1mg Pxl digital camera.
