Pazuzu was an Assyrian and Babylonian demonic god of the first millennium BC. He normally has a dog-like face like here, and where his body is depicted he has a scaly torso, a snake-headed penis, the talons of a bird and usually wings. He is often regarded as an evil underworld demon, but he seems also to have played a beneficent role as a protector against disease-bearing winds (especially the west wind). He was closely associated with the demoness Lamashtu who stole babies from their mother's womb or when newly born. Pazuzu acted to counter her evil: he forced her back to the underworld. Amulets of Pazuzu like this were therefore placed in windows hung inside and out of dwellings, attached to bedroom furniture. Smaller versions were hung around the necks of pregnant women. come as we go far away
from the noise of the street
walk a path so narrow
to a place where we feel at ease
some think it is haunting
to be drawn to the cemetery ground
as we
there's a stillness here
thankful found
child's pose angelic
a stone lamb at her feet
part the matted overgrowth
to read the carven elegy
some think it so haunting
to be drawn to the cemetery ground
as we
born in New Albion
of Rice family elite
wed to Myron Bilowe
thrice with sons
blessed was she
some think it so haunting
to be drawn to the cemetery ground
as we
God's acre is a fenced in
hollow ground
here soon to rise up
Amelia tender and sweet
her last words spoke
all is well
all is peace
some think it so haunting
to be drawn to the cemetery ground
as we

Lily Dale is a spiritualist community of the Modern Spiritualist movement located in Chautauqua County, New York, USA. I have personally visited it many times in my life and am always amazed by the spiritual energy's this location imparts upon me and all those that visit. This to me is one of the most haunted hotspots in America to visit next to that of Casadaga , Florida. The Cassadaga Spiritualist camp was named after the small Spiritualist Camp community found outside of Lily Dale, New York.
Ghost Hunting spiritual awareness and training course of how to contact the dead are always offered. And in my Explorations of this haunted location I am sure you will turn up more then a ghost are two.
In my many visits over the years I have come to know the Lily dale area very well. I often find that not only or my spiritual battery's recharged but I also come in contact with many ghost of the dearly departed that openly communicate with me. I truly believe this location is the real deal. Since I was young I searched for others in this world who could hear ghost as I do and upon my first visit in 1976 at the age of 17. I was spiritually awakened when I came to this the most haunted spot in New York on one of my families many haunted vacations.
My spiritual journey was enhanced by those that I had met there and they put me on the road to who and what I am today. My parents where more then happy because they realized I was no freak of nature or insane child that pretended to talk openly with real ghosts.
They learned that I was actually directly communicating with the dead. I have returned to this city of spirits many times in my life and each time not only do I personally learn something new about the paranormal world around us. But I also have encounters with the many real ghosts and spirits that follow those there looking for answers.
In Lilly Dale I learned I was not alone. I found many like minded and haunted individuals that as I did came here to be enlightened or find the answers to the spirit quest that many are so called by god to follow.
The first ghost I met at Lily Dale is still there and always welcomes me when I return as often as I can. The ghost who identifies himself to me is that of a earthbound spirit who only identifies himself as Rudy.
Ghost Hunters is a reality television series featuring Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, who work a day job as Roto-Rooter plumbers and investigate places that are reported to be haunted. They have visited Lily Dale Many times and held seminars lectures and workshops which I have been lucky enough to attend. Photo by Lisa Lee Harp Waugh
I happened to be in the company of Jason and Grant of Taps and Scify ghost hunters when they will made their third visit to Lily Dale Assembly, and once again their sold out workshop Lily Dale is a town of Spiritualists and Psychics in Chautauqua, NY one-hour south of Buffalo. I met Wilson and Hawes at their popular Meet and Greet during which with several others in the auditorium . Yupon leaving the crowd. My favorite ghost Rudy came to me and asked if I had learned anything new. " Yes I said." And he began then to talk to me just as oldfriends do when cathing up on all the latest gossip.
Exploration of all and any paranormal subject and discussion can be found when visiting. but if you go you should alt least book a week or more stay just to understand the or get some kind of grip or understanding of what actually occurs here.
Lily Dale is a a paranormal activity filled city of the dead in itself. As it is it's sister city Casadaga florida. Both are full of "mediums", although some call themselves " sensitive's, channeler's of the dead or psychics".
If the medium is on the Lily Dale Assembly (there's a board in the town listing its members) and you are dissatisfied with the service, you can apply to the Assembly for your money back. The city holds a high regard for those that share there paranormal powers and awareness and hold a standard of showcasing the very best in what they have to offer.
The members on this Assembly apparently have to "prove" they have special skills. In the summer, you can take part in workshops and visit the library full of all types of metaphysical books.
Although in the summer there is a charge to get into the town. There is an eerie atmosphere to the community -- day and night. It is world-famous. Even the band Ten Thousand Maniacs, who are from the area, wrote a song about it called "Lily Dale".

Birthplace of Modern Spiritualism, "Fox Cottage", Lily Dale NY
Memorial to the Fox Family who lived in this cottage at the time Margaret and Katie Fox aged 9 and 11 years recieved the first proof of the continuity of life which was the begining of modern spiritualism, March 31, 1848. This cottage was bought and moved from Hydesville, NY, its original site, to Lily Dale, NY, in May 1916 by Benjamin F. Bartlett..
In 1916, the childhood home of the Fox sisters was moved from Hydesville, New York to Lily Dale, NY. The sisters are considered to be the primary founders of modern spiritualism. On September 21, 1955 the cottage was destroyed by a fire.
Fox sisters
In 1916, the childhood home of the Fox sisters was moved from Hydesville, New York to Lily Dale, NY. The sisters are considered to be the primary founders of modern spiritualism. On September 21, 1955 the cottage was destroyed by a fire. The Fox sisters were three women from New York who played an important role in the creation of Spiritualism, the religious movement. The three sisters were Kate Fox (1838–1892), Leah Fox (1814–1890) and Margaret Fox (also called Maggie) (1836–1893).
In 1848, the two younger sisters – Kate and Margaret – were living in a house in Hydseville, New York with their parents. Hydesville was a hamlet which no longer exists but was part of the township of Arcadia in Wayne County. The house had some prior reputation for being haunted, but it wasn't until late March that the family began to be frightened by unexplained sounds that at times sounded like knocking, and at other times like the moving of furniture.
During the night of March 31, Kate challenged the invisible noise-maker to repeat the snaps of her fingers. It did. It was asked to rap out the ages of the girls. It did. The neighbors were called in, and over the course of the next few days a type of code was developed where raps could signify yes or no in response to a question, or be used to indicate a letter of the alphabet. The girls initially addressed the spirit as "Mr. Splitfoot" which is a nickname for the Devil. Later, the alleged "entity" creating the sounds claimed to be the spirit of a peddler named Charles B. Rosma, who had been murdered five years earlier and buried in the cellar. Doyle claims the neighbors dug up the cellar and found a few pieces of bone, but it wasn't until 1904 that a skeleton was found, buried in the cellar wall. No missing person named Charles B. Rosma was ever identified.
Kate and Margaret were sent away to nearby Rochester during the excitement — Kate to the house of her sister Leah, and Margaret to the home of her brother David — and it was found that the rappings followed them. Amy and Isaac Post, a radical Quaker couple and long-standing friends of the Fox family, invited the girls into their Rochester home. Immediately convinced of the genuineness of the phenomena, they helped to spread the word among their radical Quaker friends, who became the early core of Spiritualists. In this way appeared the association between Spiritualism and radical political causes, such as abolition, temperance, and equal rights for women.
The Fox girls became famous and their public séances in New York in 1850 attracted notable people including William Cullen Bryant, George Bancroft, James Fenimore Cooper, Nathaniel Parker Willis, Horace Greeley, Sojourner Truth and William Lloyd Garrison. They also attracted imitators, or perhaps encouraged people who previously had hidden their gifts. At any rate, during the following few years, hundreds of persons would claim the ability to communicate with spirits. Both Kate and Margaret became well-known mediums, giving séances for hundreds of "investigators," as persons interested in these phenomena liked to call themselves. Many of these early séances were entirely frivolous, where sitters sought insight into "the state of railway stocks or the issue of love affairs," but the religious significance of communication with the deceased soon became apparent. Horace Greeley, the prominent publisher and politician, became a kind of protector for the girls, enabling their movement in higher social circles.
Many report hearing crying ghosts at or near Lily Dale Assembly Hall through out the month of August. Lily Dale NY August 18 2007 This day, Grant Wilson and Jason Hawes from Sci Fi Channel's Ghost Hunters appeared at Lily Dale for a conference. The general things heard audibly were the sounds of several women crying!
"Ghost cry for many reasons, They are in pain, Lost, Sad or even happy. These very human emotions do not stop just because your dead." States world famous Psychic, Paranormal Investigator Medium Mickey Of Miami. "It has come to my attention that more real EVP's happen to record crying ghost more then any other phenomena." "These ghostly sounds tend not to be so popular on the web because most want to hear voices and statements."
Some Paranormal investigation teams and authors consider Lily Dale to be the most "haunted" place in Chautauqua county.
Necromancer Lisa Lee Harp Waugh has been performing private and public séances for over 30 years. Her humble start in Marshall, Texas to her celebrity status of today did not come with it's pitfalls.
" Your life becomes not your own,"says Waugh. People seek you out and will go to any lengths to get you to call up from the grave a departed friend, lover or stranger." " It got so bad I went into seclusion and moved from Marshall.
Many paranormal investigators do all suggest that using the talents of The Great American Necromancer Lisa Lee Harp Waugh has brought them some interesting results and evidence. More and more actual Ghost Hunters and paranormal investigators are beginning to investigates mediums, psychics and individuals that communicate directly to the dead and spirits from other realms.
