The
Real Ghost Pictures Of The Haunted Myrtles
Plantation And The Haunted Mirror Ghost Photos!
By Gina Lanier
Ghost photos and anomalous
ghosts in pictures happen with a regular frequency
where ever living people happen to be snapping
away. But more so then any place else the
Myrtles plantation in St. Francisville Louisiana
seems to be the best spot in America to capture
your very own ghost picture.
Here at Haunted America Tours
we get many photos sent to us all the time
asking if this or that is a real "Myrtles
Ghost Photo" or what do we think about
this particular "Myrtles Plantation Ghost
Picture".
Of all the photos I love to
be intrigued by the Myrtles Plantation ghost
photos. I enjoy reading the haunted plantations
many "Ghost Stories" that many have
come to tell of their experiences in Louisiana's
haunted Hot Spot!

I stayed at the Myrtles on 06/10/06
in the Fannie Williams room, which is a whole
other story, however I took a picture on the
mirror in the entry way and you can clearly
see a form of a young lady in the mirror,
I believe this is Chloe. If you look into
the mirror there is a picture across the hall
hanging just below the stair case, just above
and to the left you can see Chloe's face and
I believe the online of her dress. Please
review. Kindest Regards Art MacKinnon.

The picture of the woman was
taken at night in a section of the front courtyard...
there isn't a statue in that area. There is
a picture of what appears to be smeared light
but the camera was not being moved. I have
also included a picture of an orb... it is
very large and bright. There was a picture
taken immediately after this one and it did
not include the orb. (this is not the moon)
There is also a picture containing many orbs
that was snapped the instant that the cat
jumped off of the fence post and ran off in
a hurry.

My sister and I went to stay
at the Myrtles in January of 2006. When we
checked in, we were given the key to the Azalea
room, unfortunately the key would not work.
We told the sweet woman that checked us in
and she said that they only have two keys
for the room, one for the guest and then one
for the people who work there. She took the
key she gave us and said it was definitely
the right one and walked with us to the room
and tried to open the door. This was unsuccessful
so we ended up getting the worker\'s key,
which worked. My sister and I thought nothing
of this until the next morning at breakfast
when we overheard the morning staff discussing
our key problem as if it was one of the regular
happenings at the Myrtles. We also had the
problem of going through camera batteries
every 5 to 10 minutes. The staff said that
was normal and even gave us batteries after
the ones we bought from them went out. The
craziest thing that happened was our last
night there. As we were sleeping, I heard
what sounded like someone picked something
up and set it down heavily on the chest of
drawers. The crazy thing about this, is the
rooms only have a clock radio, a lamp, and
one no smoking sign that sits on the chest
of drawers. There was no explanation for this
occurrence, but I did not see anything, because
I would not open my eyes and look around.
The most interesting part of this story is
apparently my sister woke up around the same
time having definite feeling of someone in
the room, but she didn't want to wake me.
When we spoke of this the next morning, we
finally understood why the staff would ask
us if we had any trouble sleeping. I had read
many accounts of haunting's at the Myrtles,
but never about the garden rooms, so I was
not expecting anything to happen as we slept.
I also have a picture we took of the house
as we drove up the drive one night that when
we got home and zoomed in, it looks as if
there is a women with a thick shawl and dress
on standing in the window of the sitting room.
This may be the curtains, but it is not in
the picture taken one second before from the
same angle. Whether it is a ghost or not,
it sure is freaky, because it is well formed
and easy to see it is a woman looking out
of the window from a room that no one but
staff is aloud in.

The first photo a man appears
to be looking down on us on the left side
right on top of the big camera flash! !in
the second picture there seem to be a man
going up the stairs where the red light is!!
I spent the night at the Myrtles on march
29th, with my daughter and some other friends.

Me & my sister took the
tour of the plantation and decided to try
and take random shots all around. It was very
interesting, exciting and fun to see and experience
the pass history of the home. Our tour guide
would only let us take pictures in the one
room with the haunted ? mirror. Well, when
we looked back to se if we captured any ghost
ect... we did have a few pictures worth checking
into.Let us know what you think. We did not
see anything with our eyes but our pictures
leave us wondering? We see orbs , ect.. in
the mirror. Also in one of the pictures I
see an image of someone, maybe 2 images? Beside
me. Also I see a shadow image in the picture
on the porch in the curtain. How wonderful
to have been there.

I live in Baton Rouge, LA. I like to visit
the Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville,
LA often so I could take lots of pictures
with the hope of catching something in one
of them. Well, without knowing it at the time...I
did. Picture #DSC03469 was taken when I was
coming around the front of the house and zoomed
in on my husband & his cousin (who we
brought to tour the Myrtles) sitting in the
small courtyard. I was just taking a picture
of them. I have a digital camera (Sony Mavica)
with great zoom capabilities that records
the pictures straight onto CD's. If you look
in the windowpane behind them you will see
a face that doesn't come close to looking
human. Notice that it looks like that pane
is blackened and kinda glowing. ALSO reaching
out and almost touching my husband's leg is
a blue looking hand. When the picture is turned
into a negative you can see the hand clearly.
The hand looks like it is in front of the
arm of the chair. There is more bluish activity
in the picture also. Some have said that the
hand looks like a big flower but the very
next picture I took (Dsc03470b) shows they
were not close to a plant or flowers at all.
After going to the Myrtles and seeing others
pictures...now I have my own proof in a picture
that I know hasn't been altered. I also have
another...totally different figure in a picture
(DSC04803) I took at another time. It looks
like the full body of a child looking out
the window at us. That was the day I spent
the night there.

I frequent the Myrtles at least
once a year to visit the home and grounds.
Some people describe it is if you are going
home after being gone for a while.. I think
others like me are also drawn there for the
history and the "spirit" activity.
At any rate, I have always been intrigued
with everything to do with all paranormal
studies and sciences. My day time work is
that of a Medical researcher. I love to research
and investigate Old antebellum homes here
in South East Louisiana, Old cemeteries, Civil
War and historical sites, and dabbling in
photography. I have been an active Paranormal
Investigator of 15+ years now and I am continually
learning something new every day from my Paranormal
friends in the field.

These photo's I have attached
were taken in August of 2006 at the Myrtle's
Plantation in ST. Francisville, LA not far
from my home here in the Heart of Plantation
Country. I am giving you permission to use
them as you like to share with others as I
feel they are good evidence of the other "side".
See for your self.. I took them with a digital
camera on a clear, warm summer day. The foyer
was not dark where we were and I was the last
in the group to shoot a few frames of the
room. My contact information is below if you
have any further questions. You may use my
name and email address on the post. Thanks

This is a photo of my Wife on the left and
her Sister. We visited the Myrtles in about
August 2004, the picture was taken with a
digital camera and as soon as the photo was
taken we knew that something was not right
in the camera picture. After everyone looked
at the picture some wanted to leave at that
time. AI submitted this photo to the myrtles
site a couple of times and got no response.
The picture speaks for it self.

I just got back from the Myrtles. I saw small
shadows all over the room as well as a presence
of a woman. I took these two pictures within
a few second of each other on the way out
the door of the Fanny Williams Room. When
I got home I saw this. Just to the rite of
the mirror in the first picture there seems
to be eyes forming, in the second picture
they are very clear. I didn't use any flash
as you can see in the reflection. I kinda
took it as I was being watched over. :)
