Real Reasons Why Everyone Should Not Hunt For Ghosts!
So you ant to explore the world of real paranormal Activity? I suggest you think twice before you venture into the world of the supernatural!
Real paranormal investigation of strange ghostly activity or ghost Hunting is not for everyone. there are many reasons why some individuals should leave the dead alone. Paranormal investigation is actually a full time involvement. Once you start hunting out ghosts it seems that they will and do start hunting for you.
By Lisa Lee Harp Waugh
Never go out ghost hunting just for kicks, cheap thrills or the fun of it. There are articles in the news from around the world about poor individuals getting arrested for trespassing. To those getting shot or seriously injured because they do not know what they are doing.
Just because you watched every episode of Of Scify's Ghost Hunters and Most Haunted does not make you a paranormal investigator.
There are to many individuals and ghost hunting groups do not follow protocols and are just a band of misinformed people running around just to say they done it. If you want to hunt for real ghost find a real well established group and learn from those what mistakes they have made. Learn the right way to see understand and communicate with ghosts.
Remember as Seen on TV is not always the actual truth or conditions you might have to face. Some people actually have deep seeded fears that they do not realize exist until faced with them. I have a friend a wonderful Texan ghost hunter who is deathly afraid of spiders and their webs. Though he is a prominent figure in Texan ghost hunting his many fears actually keep him from investigating old falling down haunted houses.
Should You Be Afraid of Ghosts?
There are also a few individuals that I have met who have victims of Spectrophobia: An abnormal and persistent fear of ghosts. Sufferers of spectrophobia experience undue anxiety even though they realize their fear is irrational. They may fear going into woods, empty houses or dark places and may react with alarm at strange or unexplained noises. No doubt Hollywood has enkindled spectrophobia with such films as Poltergeist, The Haunting and The Blair Witch Project. Some individuals do not know they have this problem until they actually see the movies. Others just write it off as contrived. But until they meet a real ghost in the middle of the night tugging at their soul the reality that they have, this real fear does not set in.
"Spectrophobia" is a hybrid word derived from the Latin "spectrum" (appearance, apparition) and the Greek "phobos" (fear). "Spectrum" is also used to form many other English words, including a word with the same spelling, "spectrum" (the series of color bands of light appearing after white light passes through a diffracting device such as a prism); "spectrology" (the scientific study of the spectrum); and "specter" (apparition, ghost).
Spectrophobia (from Latin: spectrum, "image") or eisoptrophobia is a kind of specific phobia involving a morbid fear of mirrors and the dread of seeing one's own reflection. Necrophobia – fear of death, the dead.
he fear of the dark is a common fear among children and to a varying degree is observed for adults. The pathological fear of the dark is sometimes called nyctophobia (from Greek νυξ, "night" and φοβια, phobia), scotophobia, from σκότος - "darkness", or lygophobia, from λυγή"twilight" and achluophobia. Fear of the dark, however, is different from nyctophobia in the sense that fear of the dark is natural whereas nyctophobia is a pathological phobia.
The fear of the dark is heightened by imagination: a stuffed toy may appear a monster with many teeth and bulging eyes in the dark. Nightmares contribute to the fear of the dark as well: after waking up because of a nightmare the child may refuse to go to bed without lights on. Fear of dark is a phase of child development. Most observers report that fear of the dark seldom appears before the age of 2 years. Fear of the dark is not fear of the absence of light, but fear of possible or imagined dangers concealed by the darkness.
The Real Fear Of The Unknown
Running contrary to the idea that 'truth is stranger than fiction' is the idea that imagination is often scarier than what objectively is. This concept was important in many famous horror films. And the New Movie Paranormal Activity the number 1 Paranormal Movie for 2009. Whereas the audience never sees or understands the antagonist nor are they shown the real fates of the protagonists. The audience is left to their imagination as to what happened. Again, the monster is never seen, but merely implied. So, the audience is left to their imagination regarding what the entity is or looks like.
The fear of the dark works off of this same pattern. Humans cannot see in pitch darkness of night or a locked room or basment, so they are left to their imagination as to what is lurking in the darkness, often to a scary effect. A tiny sound or strange feeling is enough to set somones fears on edge.
Some individuals are just not meant to hunt for real ghosts. Whether it be the fear factor or just that they are prone to mental problems that are associated with coming in contact with real in your face simple paranormal activity. There are individuals that can and will become disturbed just by looking at a simple ghost supposed image whether it is real or not. Just the thought sets them on edge that they might be looking at something other worldly.
Many researchers will point out that they explore the paranormal because of the many encounters that just happened to them over their life time. Or the one big one that has then still looking for answers many years later. There are those of us in the field of Paranormal research because we feel the that the great forces around us have so entwined our destiny's to deal with such otherworldly things that we are capable of doing such.
I personally have seen the bravest of men and women shattered and distraught because of what ghosts and paranormal activity and experiences have done to them. The fear factor involved with real ghosts and demonic forces often takes it toll on would be paranormal investigators whether they know it or not. The very real effects of being haunted sometimes takes years to manifest itself in an individual. I have seen people put into psychiatric hospitals and mental wards just for playing with séances and Ouija boards. And this is by all means something that happens today as well as over the past generations.
From people hearing ghosts voices to seeing shadows in their own homes, yes, these scary happenings have indeed marked some as just certifiably crazy.
If you are so inclined that you feel you must go ghost hunting then go with trained individuals. Or consider taking a ghost hunting ghost tour. Many today seek out a Ghost Hunting Certification course such as those offered by the great Patti Starr or Stacey Allen Mcgee.
Once taking this course you can assess if you want to pursue the many levels of Paranormal Investigation to the degree your comfortable with.
. Decide what is import to you in doing such investigations. Many who hunt for spirits and spooks that haunt the night do it to prove to themselves and the world that ghosts are real. And that afterlife truly exist. If your searching for ghost to just get a good scare or two then your doing it for the wrong reasons.
Becoming possessed or effected by ghost or haunting's is the largest risk anyone could face. Those the real haunted people in the world will tell you to avoid ghost or contact with supernatural or paranormal activity at all costs. Ghost and unseen evil entities can ruin a persons life or push them to doing things that can and will harm them and others.
Do not ghost hunt if you have any type of serious illness physical or mental. Many ghosts tend to gravitate to those who suffer from such maladies. Whether it be to comfort them or haunt them. a person with a weekend or highly charged emotional or mental problems are those that some ghost will follow and taunt.
I had a friend who had just had terrible problems with his ex girlfriend his mental state actually attracted a ghost to him that made his life and then hers very bad to say the least. I have seen marriages dissolved because of ghost that haunt individuals and they are not aware that such is going on until someone else points it out.
Do not bring or allow a small child to visit real haunted locations or yourself unless you and they understand what ghosts and hauntings are really all about. Take class or a seminar to understand what your up against before you even consider visiting a real haunted house.
You should also learn how to protect yourself from psychic attacks by these unseen forces and use techniques that only those that have dealt with such can impart.
