Brian and Anna Marie Byers live just south of Austin, Texas with their five kids, two cats, Rottweiler, box turtle, and Chinchilla. They are the founders of Emania Research, a paranormal research facility that works with teams and individuals, helping them to explain and authenticate their video, photographic, and audio files. Emania Research also works to broaden the paranormal research field with their studies and experiments.
Brian and Anna Marie are also authors and illustrators of several paranormal books including the popular "Discarnotes: Paranormal Logbook" and "I Think We've Got Ghosts." During the day, they own and operate an entertainment company focusing on children?s books and animated content. In addition, they are working on a television pilot called "Ghost Tech" that will debut in the fall of 2009. They also work with the Paranormal Researchers Choice Award and speak at conventions and other paranormal events. In, short, they love what they do and find the paranormal community to be a family to them.

Here ya go. I am working on something else about the Para-x archives for their shows and you might like my new The REAL Dangers of the Paranormal public service message on youtube
So I am looking for a podcast to listen to and I figure I would go to Para-X and see what other kinds of offerings they have for the paranormal community. I randomly select a show and look for a link to the archive. The link is bad, I cuss quietly under my breath and return to the home page to select another. The link takes me to a page with no podcast archives. Now I am getting a little annoyed. I return to the homepage once again and select yet another show. The link takes me to a page where there was once some archives but all that is currently listed is TBA and its for the current month.
Once again annoyed and flustered I return to the home page and pick another show. I will follow up with some more info on the Para-X archives in my next article.
Debuting with their very first show in 2007, Brian & Anna Marie offer a more laid back "morning show" approach which is a new twist to the paranormal talk radio circuit. Their main focus is their guests. They believe in having credible, quality guests on their show who aren't afraid to discuss the controversial topic of ghosts, hauntings, and the thin veil that separates our world from the other side.Take these segments, ghosts stories, and a shot of tequila and you've got one of the wildest and most unique paranormal radio shows ever to hit the airwaves. Ghostology with Brian & Anna Marie airs every Saturday night on Para X Radio and CBS's Psychic Radio from 8pm to Midnight EST. This is one paranormal party you don't want to miss!
Ghostology describes itself as "a more laid back "morning show" approach" then down from that it is "one of the wildest and most unique paranormal radio shows ever to hit the airwaves" Even though it reads as a contradiction it actually describes the show pretty accurately.First it took 8 min or so to DL the 278 MB archive from Itunes which I was not in the mood for because I had already wasted time hunting for podcast archives from other shows and came up with nothing. I suffered the wait for the benefit of the readers (your welcome) Ghostology has been on since 2007 and Para-X has been on long enough so they should have the sound issues knocked out yet I keep hearing complaints about the sound quality on the Para-X network. Ghostology was no exception to that, the first 15 minutes of the podcast were comments and instructions of where besides Para-X listeners could go to listen.Brian also reminded some listeners that he was heterosexual. The manner in which Brian goes about making sexual comments does come off as a gay man trying to be hetero so it is a understandable mistake. And it was mentioned a couple times that this was not the first time sound problems had cursed the show. (um Brian don't bring up past issues unless they are solved, just some advice, your welcome)
The sound on the podcast was fine, there was no problem that I heard anyway. What I also heard was the hosts of the show asking each other 20 questions, the questions were either strange or ones that could not be answered by them. There was at one time a comment about swingers which made me imagine these two at a swingers meet. They would most likely sneak up to the window and after a quick glance, run away giggling, and from then on proclaim themselves swingers.
The back and forth of the hosts seems forced and I heard them continuously trying to convince someone, I'm not sure if was themselves or the listeners, of how happy they are and that they get along just swell.I wasn't convinced.
Brian and Anna Marie just do not fit the description of wild man/lady and they are trying way to hard. They remind me of the two biggest nerds in my high school who think because they have a radio show it makes them one of the cool kids.
The subject matter was bland, it took 25 minutes for anything interesting to be said. Anna Marie said she thought people who make claims of being scratched or pushed by spirits should seek professional mental help. Brain asks her if she is sure about that and she backs off saying most or some people could be having some sort of mental issue, interest lost again.Brian said if he could speak to one dead person in history he would ask Micheal Jackson "why" which seemed and extremely odd person to pick, not because I couldn't picture a rock n roll guy like Brian listening to MJ, but because who the hell would pick that person let alone that question?! If you could pick anyone in history and your a paranormal investigator, or hunter, or whatever you would think another choice would come to mind.
I only listened to the first hour of the show and there was only one commercial break which was good and bad. There were times I found myself wishing for a break from the continuous forced humor of Brian.
The show does seem to want to please everyone and it wants to be a wild exciting ride but it ends up being a copy of a local cable channel morning show without the gardening tips but I'm sure they aren't far off.
This is just my opinion, I am sure many of you who enjoy those jokes the neighbor guy tells at the cookout parties will enjoy Ghostology too. I never go to those cookouts, the food is just too bland.
I would give Ghostology 1 star, it just doesnt interest me to listen to people try and force coolness. The show has a slight chance of being interesting but it always seems to pass quickly. Skeptics, use this if you can't get to sleep
Reapsow first emerged into the paranormal in 2007, when he stepped in to defend a friend who was being attacked by the late Paranormal Police. This is where his gift to write, along with his ability to bring stupidity to the surface with a comedic flare, that he began to build a name for himself. He stood up for those being unjustly crucified, and spoke his mind, and people liked this new insight into the community. People quickly learned that Reap had a way of capturing your attention that no one had ever done before. People had begun to flock to his blogs, and his popularity grew in the community. This opened up the door to Reapsowradio which had begun to air in October of 2007.
As he learned more about the paranormal, and the community he found himself questioning some of the methods and theories that were being used, by what were considered big name investigators. Using common sense, as well as reading up thoroughly on some of the claims that were being made, he found himself speaking out against those that he felt were doing more harm then good in paranormal investigations.
The Reap Radio Network is a 24/7 stream that is comprised of some of the best podcasters, broadcasters, DJs, and listeners you will find on the net.
We mix quality talk radio with a variety of quality music to
