Recently on Ebay up for auction is a
chair purchased in an Essex Massachussets.
antiques store, the woman purchased the
chair from the chair was taken from a
house in Gloucester Massachussets. that
had been vacant for over fifty years,
and believed to be haunted, when it came
time that someone purchased the house
all of the furniture was dumped off at
the antiques store. The appolstered must
be all redone, there is also a crack in
the wood but it is still extremely sturdy,
i hope to see it go to someone who will
make my dream come alive and put the work
into this chair to make it a beautiful
piece of history as it once was.

added the following information:
I have recently been informed that this
chair is actually from the mid 1800's
when gothic furniture and houses were
popular, i have been getting lots of comments
and more info on this chair as people
are looking at it, a friend from the historic
society was telling me that this was where
Captain Fitz Lane would sit and look out
of his house at the gloucester harbor
and supposedly that is who haunts the
old house.

I never thought anything strange about
the chair until I began having dreams.
In my dreams I would see this old woman
sitting on the chair knitting and humming
a tune I still can’t get out of
my head. I never said anything about the
dreams until my husband said the chair
was strange.
Haunted
Chair
We found two this is the second one. Nov-20-06
Hello and thank you for taking the time
to look. There is a very interesting story
behind this chair. Our family loves Gettysburg
P.A we go there all the time. The last
time we went was October 13-15 they have
the apple festival. The first night we
were there we went in to the park to see
the sights. There is a place in the park
that is haunted its been on the travel
channel it is very well know. The family
went to see it. The place in the park
is called the Triangular field as we got
to the bottom of the field show in the
picture we found one of two chairs there
was no one there at the time and there
was this random chair. Well we walked
back in to the woods and there was another
one the chair I have shown in the picture.
Well of course we did what anyone in are
shoes would have done we took them. Well
that is where we went wrong scene we have
had them strange things have been happing
around the house I cant understand. They
fascinated me I took it open my self to
refinish them. I have heard people walking
threw the house when I am the only one
home. I walk by and at times its like
I am hitting a cold spot in the house
I look for a vent or an open window but
there’s nothing. The way the chair
is built is that when someone is in it
the fabric stretches well I have walked
by it and it looks like someone is sitting
in it. I feel like I am being watched.
Its just very strange because before we
had them nothing ever felt wrong about
our house but now its like there is someone
in the house with us watching every move
we make. Here is a little history about
were we found them. The fight to take
Devils Den began here, in the Triangular
Field, around 4 pm on July 2, the second
day of battle at Gettysburg.
A more definitive account of this attack
can be read at our Devils Den History
page.
In the view at left, the foreground was
held by Union troops, and the vista to
the rear concealed the arriving brigades
of Confederate General Hood.
In a series of attacks and counter-attacks
that lasted over two hours, the Union
position was ultimately crushed and held
by the Confederates.
The victory here by the Confederates
posed an immediate threat to the Union
left flank anchored on Little Round Top,
a fact soon recognized by Union Major
General G. K. Warren.
A haunted high chair
cursed, frightening supernatural occurrences
Nov-18-06
While working for a moving company several
years ago, i was packing an elderly womans
garage. At this time I came across this
chair, and asked the home owner if she
wanted it packed or thrown away. She became
very upset and actually started to cry.
She then informed me that the chair had
caused her great pain and she wanted it
thrown away. She insisted that the chair
was evil and should be destroyed.I was
intrigued by her story and emotion so
i took the chair home and stored it away
in my garage. On two occasions i have heard
strange child like crying noises in my
dining room, which sits above my garage.
These noises made the hair on my arms
stand straight up. I dont know if the
chair actually is haunted or not, but
i know i dont want it. I figured someone
with experience in the paranormal may
want to take a look at it.
