"COULD THIS BE THE MOST HAUNTED HOTEL IN AMERICA?"
Visiting baseball players say Milwaukee's Pfister Hotel is haunted.
BY SIMI THOMAS
Somehow, for some reason, the fear is back at Milwaukee's regal old hotel, long a destination for ballplayers and celebrities. Carlos Gomez's "haunting," while not quite as dramatic as Drag Me To Hell, is nonetheless granted mythic importance and heft:
First Carlos Gomez heard voices. Then he watched his iPod go haywire after he got out of the shower, sending him scrambling for the lobby without stopping to put on his pants and shoes.
After last year's experience, the Minnesota Twins outfielder didn't want to go back to Milwaukee's Pfister Hotel. But Gomez had to stay there when the Twins were in town to play the Brewers last month, so he brought some protection: teammate-turned-roommate Francisco Liriano and a Bible.
For more than 110 years, The Pfister Hotel has been home to Milwaukee’s largest and most prestigious galas, charitable events and celebrations. We have an established tradition of elegance and personal service that will make your affair a truly exceptional occasion. Whether intimate or grand, the Pfister has a room to enhance your event.
Located conveniently in downtown Milwaukee, the Pfister features the most beautiful ballroom space in Wisconsin including the fabulous Grand and Imperial Ballrooms. The Pfister has more than 24,000 square feet of space, all elegantly styled with classic European flavor. From antique chandeliers, rich draperies, and marble accents, to beautiful views of downtown Milwaukee, we will provide the perfect atmosphere for your function. Dating To 1893 And Named In 2004 By Conde Nast Traveler As One Of The World's Best Places To Stay, The Pfister Merges Original Victorian Architecture With A Contemporary 23-Story Tower And The World's Largest Hotel Collection Of Victorian Art. Palms, Roses And Orchids Fill The Lobby, Where A Heavenly Ceiling Mural Of Cherubs And Clouds Catches The Eyes Of Guests. A Dapper Concierge Greets Business Travelers, Weekend Romantics And Returnees, Who Can Settle Back In The 23rd- Floor Martini And Wine Bar And Gaze Out Over Lake Michigan, Swim In The Indoor Pool, Or Browse Through The Hotel's Shops Featuring Men's Clothes, Flowers, Home Décor, Whimsical Gifts, Fine Chocolates And Jewelry. In Addition, The Pfister Features Wireless Internet Access, 24-Hour Room Service, Fitness Center, And 25,000 Square Feet Of Event Space For 1,500 People.
I recently stayed there at request as a close personal friend to the Great American Necromancer, The Fantastic Lavacsious 50 year old, Lisa Lee Harp Waugh. She was asked to come and investigate the hotel for a private individual who wanted it proven that the location was truly the most haunted one in the State.
We actually liked the say and were more then just impressed with the fabulous Mason Street Grill, and it's On-site, it Features A Large Piano Bar and an atmosphere that might haunt you, An Extensive Cocktail And Wine List which proves to me a few mellow spirits might just be present, And A Menu Featuring Wood Roasted Steaks which we delighted in and savored, Chicken, And Seafood was just to die for. Café At The Pfister Serves Seasonal Bistro Delicacies And Is Famous For Its Friday Night Fish Fry. To tell you we ate like hogs is an understatement. And we hunted and spoke to real ghosts until dawn.
In my opinion this hotel is more then just the run of the mill haunted hotels. The Ghost at the Pfister or more lively and active then those of any other haunted hotel in America that I have personally investigated.
I suggest if you want to check out this real haunted hotel, Lisa Lee Harp Waugh is the woman to do it with. As per request of the individual who contracted Lisa I cannot give you any specific details of what occurred. I can say the ghost there are very real, active and incredible to witness. I would dare to say this is the most haunted hotel in the world!
