My investigation of New Orleans haunting's
has over the past 17 years included not
just haunted houses, cemeteries and
public buildings. It also includes what
I know will classify as The"#1 MOST
HAUNTED PARADE IN AMERICA".

Spirits

New Orleans night time parade |
Through my own personal private investigation
I have discovered that this New Orleans
parade at Mardi Gras, The Krewe Of Mid
City designed by Ricardo Pustanio
seems to attract tourist from beyond the
grave.
I discovered in 1986 when a client showed
me some photos of a New Orleans Mardi Gras
parade she had taken. To my trained eye,
I discovered, orbs, glowing smoke and even
images of partially manifested spirits mingling
amongst the large crowds of parade goers.

The parade in Question was that of the
Krewe Of Mid City a very beautiful foil
decorated parade of the New Orleans Mardi
Gras season. The Krewe Of Mid City is the
5th oldest parade in New Orleans Mardi Gras
and was founded in 1933. I do not believe
that the age of the parade is why it is
haunted. A fellow investigator suggested
to me that the actual tourist that come
to New Orleans bring the ghost of their
family and friends with them when they travel.
I to believe this but I do not think that
is the case.
In My many years of research I believe
they (Ghost) or attracted to the aluminum
foil which carries a static charge of electricity
from it's movement.
I have photographed many other parades
with few results over the past few years
and out of hundreds of pictures only this
particular parade seems to have a consistency
of more then 20 photo anomalies each year.
I question them skeptically of course that
is it a trick of light and foil? Not unlike
smoke and Mirrors. Or is it in fact the
capturing on film of actual Ghost at new
Orleans Mardi Gras. In my opinion I believe
it is Spiritual manifestations.
Over the many long years I have viewed
hundreds of ghost photo's , videos, and
heard after the fact reports of activity
in the photos taken by tourist and locals.
The Krewe of Mid City once began it's route
in a area of the city where 8 cemeteries
were located. It also passed several churches
and more then one area funeral parlor on
it's mardi Gras Parade route.
In recent years the parade has re-located
to a traditional Uptown St. Charles Ave.
Route. It passes several Churches and funeral
homes also. I personally wonder does this
fit into the equation? But several other
older Krewe's at Mardi Gras Take this Route
also. I suggest to any Ghost hunter or accidental
tourist with any type of camera to keep
an eye out when you look at your personal
photo's to see what appears in them. My
photos and that of many I have seen are
very unique and tend to show what I consider
as proof of this parade being actually haunted
.

In 2003 I had the pleasure of Meeting the
Artist/Designer of the Krewe Of Mid City
, Ricardo Pustanio. He does not admit
or even suggest that the parade has any
spirits present, but he says sometimes he
thinks that the spirit of Bettie Rae
Kern the past Float designer watches
over his work in foil sculpting and hopes
she approves of his designs on her beloved
parade.
Ricardo allowed myself and two other investigators
to photograph the parade from it's beginning
of the day at the Krewe
Of Mid City Main Den, on it's route
and after the parade when it was put to
bed as they say. The bulk of photo anomalies
occur on parade route nothing at the den.
I also took photos on transit to the route
and the photos are all normal.

I will continue to monitor this haunting
over the years to come and plan to attend
it this upcoming year. The Krewe Of Mid
City will parade on February 6, 2005 at
2:00PM.May I suggest and send out a
personal invitation to other professional
and amateurs Ghost hunters to attend and
see what proof of a actual haunting exist
in. I do so want to see that I am not alone
in my findings.
In no way does anyone associated with the
Krewe or Float designer suggest that any
of my findings are true , they in fact have
not endorsed or denied my findings. I am
only going by my own personal work with
deciphering my own photos and those photos
presented to me by clients and parade observers.

New Orleans Mardi Gras is so noisy and
full of excitement simple audio test are
hard to set up. Many of the photos are taken
along a 5 mile parade route. so sampling
of photos in hundreds of locations is possible.
I also want to suggest that others in the
field of their own interest take photos
of all Mardi Gras parades not just The Krewe
Of Mid City and if you think you have captured
a ghost on film forward it to me for investigation
and I will post it here. The opportunity
to capture something on film or digitally
is always possible as we know. but on this
grand scale. And with 1000's of photo's
of New Orleans Mardi Gras Parades I believe
the proof is out there.

We as investigators all know that we are
a rare breed and that those that are skeptical
of such will write this page off as smoke
and reflections. I do suggest everyone take
this with a grain of salt. The ghost image
is truly in the eye of the beholder. explanations
abound for everything under sun, I only
place these photos here as an attempt for
other to see my investigation. and to judge
on their own my findings. I call all to
investigate all ghost hauntings and areas
of the world for your self. As I feel I
as a investigator that what proof I place
to you to scrutinize is yours to conjecture.
