Bigfoot is one of the creatures I enjoyed as a kid. He was usually portrayed as a misunderstood creature who only wanted to help or be left alone. Once and a while Bigfoot would be presented as a monster intent on doing harm, but that was only cause he was misunderstood.
There are a lot of people who think Bigfoot is out there roaming. I had a Bigfoot hunter named Tom Biscardi on my show once, he was a friendly enough guy and I am sure a wonderful person but if you listen to him during the interview he has learned to control a conversation by projecting his presence. And it is also obvious he is making the hunt for Bigfoot quite dramatic while making statements that are questionable sound as though they are fact. Tom has claimed to have found a Bigfoot on more than one occasion and has never managed to follow through by proving it. Tom seems to enjoy being the center of attention, never a good sign in a person who hunts things that may or may not exist.
Tom is not alone there are many others who believe the same as him.
I have thought about the Bigfoot thing and done some reading. As it is with any subject you reach a point where the study of it consists of reading the same facts over and over in different places looking for a new fact or bit of data.And shortly after that point my research slowed. Here are some of my thoughts on it.
If there is such a thing as Bigfoot then it would have to be supernatural, immortal, have a longer life expectancy than humans (to say the least) or there would have to be more than 1 or two in fact if it is a humanoid then there should be a clan of Bigfoot. I think it is safe to say Bigfoot could not live forever,or even 169 years unless it is actually a very large, very deformed turtle. And it is unlikely any human like creature has evolved to the point of having a longer life expectancy than us. So if we assume that Bigfoot is mortal like everything else we have ever known then there would be others and I think it is also safe to say that Bigfoot is not impervious to the forces of nature such as disease or to the effects of life like say, a tree falling on your head, accidentally falling off a cliff, or falling prey to another animal. No one has ever found any Bigfoot remains, all the people looking for this creature and never once finding even a part of a deceased creature?If Bigfoot is real it must be extremely intelligent since it has been able to elude every single human who has been hunting it... ever.
And it must be either able to read minds or to read the local paper because it always seems to have the ability to sense or anticipate what types of technology we are using to find it.
Let's say you were a creature living in the forest playing with the deer and butterflies and suddenly you heard a group of creatures coming towards you. You would hide right? Like say behind that thick brush, it's getting dark and it will be hard for them to see you there. You crouch behind the brush using all the abilities that nature has provided you to stay concealed and quiet. The creatures come toward you and you know the chances of them seeing you are very slim, after all this is your forest. Blam! Your shot and some dude named Tom is jumping up and down yelling "I'm not crazy! I'm not!" It seems you failed to think about Tom having a thermal camera which made you light up like a christmas tree behind the brush. Bigfoot wouldn't 'just know' what type of tools were being used to find him.
Then there is the matter of no droppings being found which can be from a creature like Bigfoot. Does that mean the Bigfoot always takes the time to dispose of its waste in a place secure from human detection? This seems very unlikely since even those of us humans living in a structured society have trouble putting the seat down or replacing a roll of toilet paper the correct way. How could it be the Bigfoot would remove everything that could show it was once in the area?
I know some believers will dismiss my opinions here and claim that proof has been found, well it is easy enough to prove me wrong. Let scientists take a look at it. I can assure you with little or no doubt that the scientific community would be thrilled to know there is a creature like Bigfoot sharing the planet with us. If you can't supply the proof then at least try to keep your big foot out of your mouth.
