There are those in the paranormal community who have as their only goal the routing out of frauds and fakes. Yes, it sounds very noble doesn't it? Well I suppose they could see themselves as such. I can imagine a person or group who would make it their mission to warn and inform the people about the frauds. But to be really effective it would have to stop at that, a warning. You can not expect everyone to jump on your belief bandwagon. It is also unfair to be critical of those who do not heed your advise to your satisfaction.
I know of an individual who thinks he is the be all end all voice of truth. The truth is he is a fool the proof being that he assumes his truth is the only truth. While criticizing others he wraps himself in a flag of egotistical rhetoric and occasionally whines like a small child about the people who know the truth is subjective, painting them as unfair and wrong. In my opinion it is everyone's responsibility to share their opinion as long as that opinion is formed from a thought process and not made up of assumptions and bias.Sharing does not mean forcing your thoughts on others. Presenting the truth as you see it does not mean you are to pass judgment on people when you have only assumptions to support your condemnation. I have been a victim of people who were just to damn stuck up and stupid to see what they would have everyone believe is true wouldn't stand up in a court of law long enough for everyone to be seated.
It is true there are people who would victimize others with false claims and it is everyone's responsibility to speak out when they see wrongs being done to others. But the task of going out and actively exposing people as fraudulent is another thing all together. With such a job comes great responsibility and part of that responsibility is to make sure you are accurate when you present any evidence.Another important thing that many forget is that sometimes no matter how true something seems to be it can turn out to be just the opposite. There are many reasons for this to happen but it is the results that can hurt people the most. Part of being an intelligent and responsible member of society is measuring the cost of presenting information to the public. Sometimes presenting the truth is not worth the consequences. Is exposing someone for telling a false story about seeing an entity float past their window one night worth causing that person to lose their job? Or if someone was once accused of being under the influence does that make everything they say questionable? Is it fair to bring that past history into the public eye just to make your position seem stronger because you are too lazy to find real facts to support your claim?
To think the truth must be made public at any cost is just plain stupid and it is selfish. Only a person who lacks any type of empathy would act in such a way and that is the kind of person who should be seeking mental help instead of trying to convince people to think like they do.
The fact of the matter and the bottom line is some people like to be scared and believe in things that are unbelievable. And some people will pay to be a part of that world, that is not bad or wrong as long as they are aware of what they are doing. There will always be frauds, some are relatively harmless and some should be fought against until they are stopped, but they will always exist.
It is our responsibility to present what we think is true to the public but it is their responsibility to choose what to do with such information. I prefer to think of myself as a presenter of my factual opinion, you choose if you want to believe it or not, it is all the same to me.
ABOUT REAP
Reapsow first emerged into the paranormal in 2007, when he stepped in to defend a friend who was being attacked by the late Paranormal Police. This is where his gift to write, along with his ability to bring stupidity to the surface with a comedic flare, that he began to build a name for himself. He stood up for those being unjustly crucified, and spoke his mind, and people liked this new insight into the community. People quickly learned that Reap had a way of capturing your attention that no one had ever done before. People had begun to flock to his blogs, and his popularity grew in the community. This opened up the door to Reapsowradio which had begun to air in October of 2007.
As he learned more about the paranormal, and the community he found himself questioning some of the methods and theories that were being used, by what were considered big name investigators. Using common sense, as well as reading up thoroughly on some of the claims that were being made, he found himself speaking out against those that he felt were doing more harm then good in paranormal investigations.

The Reap Radio Network is a 24/7 stream that is comprised of some of the best podcasters, broadcasters, DJs, and listeners you will find on the net.
We mix quality talk radio with a variety of quality music to
make for always enjoyable Internet radio.
