6th Sense World to date, offers more specialty ghost, cemetery and ghost hunt styled tours in one city than any other company operating in the USA. Which in every respect, is a direct reflection of how much history along with continual demand for it, exists inside of Savannah, Georgia! More than just cashing in on an industry, 6th Sense World started in 1995 as a personal quest by founder Shannon Scott to more fully offer visitors an opportunity to go as deep with the place as possible! Most cities offering ghost & cemetery tours are, pardoning the expression, one horse ghost tour towns. They whet the visitor's imagination or worse, just surface skim, but go no further. 6th Sense World has radically changed the perception of what can be, by pushing itself ahead of the pack in terms of research, investigations and overall unique tour development! All for the sake of giving more of the strange, cosmic world that is Savannah, to those whom are fascinated by her! We challenge you to find a company doing more and offering more for one city with storytelling than 6th Sense World and we know you'll come up empty handed! All of our tours are living classrooms and we're supplying learning levels that range from curiosity seeker to ghost ivy league. Better yet, we don't do coupons or the cheapie cheap costume affair so if you're after a higher model ghost tour and one without what we'll politely term, "the bratty kid" or rude drunk syndrome? We're your ghost gig. We may cost more, but in the truest sense of the economic thought, we give you more. More research, more qualified narrators, longer & more in depth tours and more to remember and escalate your desire to open more of Savannah's darkest rooms with our other affairs.

The Midnight Tour Shirt
Wanting to just take a dip into Savannah's mystical past? Try on our circa 1995 classic dealing with the oldest part of Savannah's Historic District, The America's Most Haunted City Tour. As some reader's may know, Shannon Scott organized the 2002 conference for The American Institute of Parapsychology, America's foremost field research group, and then received on behalf of the City of Savannah, the award for "America's Most Haunted City." The A.I.P. had received more poltergeist reports in a year's span than any other American city and thusly received the organization's highest honorarium. This 2 hour tour expose moves in and around approximately a dozen city squares and covers a broad range of topics that in many respects, precluded or set the stage for the A.I.P. honor in 2002. Ranging from the only witch ever executed in Savannah, to a home that was exorcised 4 times by 2 different churches and that Duke University declared, "the most psychically possessed home in America." Hey and the tour starts at Starbucks Coffee so perfect right? Get your pre tour dosage there and then let us crank you further out of your mind. Goes out twice nightly.
Okay, but let's say you want to move away from other circling ghost tours and the hustle and bustle of the main downtown fray? But yeah, you still want to see old haunted houses in a historic area? Welcome to the next generation of neighborhood theater, the Sixth Sense Savannah Ghost Tour. This tour was born in 2002 and in Shannon Scott's former neighborhood of 14 years. Created entirely around the motivation that there were stories completely exclusive to Scott's own sixth sense experience shelves and those of his friends, neighbors and fellow investigators living in the same area. This 2 hour gem is especially golden if you're a nut for the NY Times Best Seller of all time, the non-fiction novel, Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil. We go in depth with personal knowings of the brilliant occultist and novel main character, the real life Jim Williams and in conjunction with "that murderous house," Williams' own home, the Mercer House. Depending on your view, its either one of America's great evil houses, or just has a very uncanny rap sheet dotted with accidental death and cold blooded killings. That ain't the half of it sister but you'll have to take the tour to find out more. This Level 2 tour of ours is also makes a case study of the "missing cemetery" trend having given life to the tongue-in-cheek Savannah expression, "She's built on top of her own dead." Which you'll find out is more cheek than tongue and could easily explain why this is such a city of spiritual unrest. By the end of this touring event, you'll have also delved deeply into a helter skelter home called "432. Easily our most humanly disturbed house in history with tales of Victorian child abuse turned deadly up to cult ritual killings and dismemberment in the 1970's that will surprise you with twists of strange familiarity to the listener. Just to top off this tour to ensure that you never sleep peacefully in Savannah again, we deliver a tale of a vicious, almost deadly hag attack that will set you on edge and quite possibly the edge of a departing bench at the Amtrak station. Done up with a black bow twice a night and parental discretion very much encouraged.
But now you're feeling a little more caution to the wind. Sexy even. We've got the tour for you and we're fond of saying, "take this tour and you've graduated." What else are you doing at midnight anyway? Better be The Midnight Tour or will hunt you down. Yes, to reiterate, this actually goes out at the witching hour and whops you until about 3am. Can you dig it? But, let us advise you. Come well rested and come largely sober or you will not survive the 2-3 mile storytelling hike. Yeah, we want your money but we want you to be prepped right for the good time. The Midnight Tour is Story Special Reserve and its not for everybody. Meaning? It goes far beyond the ordinary ghost pale. For those that one pure apparition and "ooga booga," this is not for them. Its an enlightenment tour and not everyone is up for that post 12 o'clock at night. But for those who are, they really get it and revel in it. Subject wise its from our darkest canons of "out there" stories dealing with bizarre & tragic Savannah characters, Freemasonry, occultist history of Savannah, human possession, ghost photography, voodoo sacrifice, ESP, telekinesis, out-of-body and much more that has taken place in Savannah along with the politics of such things. Its kind of Anthropology meets Sociology meets Mephisto. That's just a peek and bear in mind that only a few of our guides are qualified to perform it and they all have their own prerogatives as to which stories they tell. There's also a little crossover with some of the other homes from the Sixth Sense Savannah tour but although the stops might be the same in some respects, we're prone to pull out some of the morbid goodies about those places that we wouldn't dare for earlier crowds. The stories are also related in a very adult manner and sometimes because history as it happened is a little gritty, and we tell it like it is, you may run into the occasional, non-gratuitous use of the "F" word on this tour. So yeah, we run that tour late at night. Its our Drive-In special. The Midnight Tour also includes an incredible 12 x 18 commemorative poster and either T-Shirt (limited avail) or copy of Shannon Scott's 2009 DVD & Original Soundtrack release, America's Most Haunted City - Part One. All because we love you for being so crazy to do this tour! I know man, we love you like crazy! Due to production level of this tour, it has reservation minimums that must be met before going green light so if you're into it, make it known early so we can make this happen for you!
Alright but you've heard so much about this Shannon Scott guy that you're like, "hey, I've heard so much about this Shannon Scott guy that I want to take HIS tour!" Well yeah, I mean 20 year veteran of Savannah's haunted streets? Early producer and research brain behind the cult hit, "Scariest Places On Earth" with Linda Blair and Zelda Rubenstein? One time Georgia Sectional Director of The American Institute of Parapsychology? Long list recipient of national and international storytelling awards? Yeah buddy, that sounds like a good tour. Well with personal appearances starting at around $2K and going up the ladder, you'd better have a nice expense account on tap! Nah, we wouldn't do that to you. But with Shannon's publishing business and travel schedule, his availability does fluctuate. But don't fret, starting Fall 2009, we're launching the latest and greatest called The Paranormalist Tour: Ghost Expert Nights and this tour will feature Shannon Scott many nights, and then other field researchers, psychic mediums and all around gifted leaders in this movement whom have met Shannon's standards. So yes, if he can't be there and provide you with his best, it will be someone who can or not at all. Tour participants will have option on a regular tour price ticket and a level where they can receive a copy of Scott's 2009, 2 Hr DVD & Original Soundtrack release, America's Most Haunted City- Part One. Keep checking the website for launch date and content details.

You're asking yourself, "how can I take this Savannah trip to the paranormal max?" Be careful for what you wish underworld cadet! But yes, we have an answer to your prayermares = Haunted Oatland Island. "Come again," you ask? Oh, we like your spirit! 10 minutes driving directly east from Historic District Savannah gets you to an often overlooked barrier island called Oatland Island. It was central to the novel, and related Jodie Foster film, The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys. By day, we think of it as our "zoo" and under the Georgia Board of Education it does function officially as the much beloved, Oatland Island Wildlife Center. By weekend nights? Its ours for the discovery. Think Area 51 meets a smaller version of The Overlook Hotel (The Shining). Central to the property is a multi-storied 50,000 square foot structure that all at once resembles a hospital and a vintage military base. Built in 1927 for retired railway workers, it later in the 1940s saw action as a "Pre-CDC" hospital for women and children suffering and dying from the awful effects of syphilis. The institution saw little surcease from birth defects, still born children, children dying inside of iron lungs and just about every other horror that penicilin would come to eventually eradicate. For close to two years, we have held private and public investigations of the property and now its your turn to geek and learn. Captured EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) has been routined by voices of children giggling to patient's guttural groans while surgical technicians cry out things like, "You're going to kill him!" Orbs are less frequent but in their stead are shadowy apparitions on digital frames and video camera ones. The building has also been regularly prone to what we call "talking doors" in where groups have solicited answers to questions put to spirits and they've responded using doors like a telegraph device! We provide the basic "ghost hunting" equipment, you bring a camera and any detection device of your own wishes. The awesomely cool thing? Other than getting either a glow-n-the-dark commemorative t-shirt or copy of Shannon Scott's 2009 documentary release w/soundtrack, America's Most Haunted City - Part One, 20% of your ticket investment goes back to The Oatland Island Wildlife Center and you get a free day pass to visit them all during the day. This Tour Is NOT Recommended For Young Children.
Well, nothing beats winding down or depending on your view, winding up the South's great city of the dead, by making a point to take our enchanted Bonaventure Cemetery Tour. Oh, and this ones by day only. But not to worry, you're going to love its visual, historical and botanical splendors. If you're a feng shui type and want to ensure that you have completed the circle or haven't left any loose ends, well you must by divine touring design law, go to Bonaventure. Its 10-15 minutes city driving time and we meet you there for a fully narrated 2.5 hour tour. Like many you'll probably want to stay for a couple of more to do your own meandering, gawking and photography. Much like a car advertisement that reads "Fully Loaded", as to Bonaventure, we might tack on the additionally grabbing, "Too Much Too List!" This cemetery up on a bluff overlooking the St. Augustine Creek and the Intercoastal Waterway will steal your breath. Buried there are all of the railway workers from Oatland Island. Of course a colony founder or two like Oglethorpe's friend and entrusted physician, Noble Jones. The famed veteran of 3 wars (War of 1812, Spanish-American & Civil) whose family deeded Bonaventure to the city and whom had famously declared in a courtroom drama that "Blood is thicker than water," Mr. Josiah Tattnall. We cannot overlook the grave of famed poet, essayist & novelist and T.S Eliot's best friend, Conrad Aiken. Or for that matter, his wife Mary Hoover Aiken who emblazoned the modern art world as a painter of portraits, landscapes and cityscapes. They're gravestone is a granite bench and much like the story inside of Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil reminds, you must sit a spell and ponder the beauty and mortality around you. Just don't get caught drinking cocktails as much as Conrad hoped that you might partake. Ah, but many, if not most seek out Bonaventure for one of the world's most impacting songwriters and founder of Capitol Records, Savannah born, Johnny Mercer. By the time you reach his family plot, you'll start to recall some of his thousands of classics like "Moon River," "Hooray For Hollywood," "Jeepers Creepers," "You Must've Been A Beautiful Baby" and "Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate The Positive." Yeah man, you'll be groovin in Bonaventure. Before you go we'll stroll you by "Little Gracie" who many consider to be the unofficial face of Savannah's spirit world and we'll tell you all about how she fits into things. And although strangely, City of Savannah policy forbids us telling you ghost stories in the cemeteries (I know right?), we will tell you all about the 40 people who have committed suicide in Bonaventure and why there's an incentive plan for those who do. Nevermind a great yarn about the caretaker's wife who murdered her husband in the caretaker's house in 1910. So yeah, we keep it morbid for you don't worry. All in all, this tour will leave you feeling like Bonaventure is either the love of your life or the one that got away. This goes out at 10am daily and the tour was recently featured on The Travel Channel with Samantha Brown.

ABOUT SHANNON SCOTT

Born in Terra Haute, IN and native of Rantoul, Illinois, Shannon Scott arrived to Savannah, GA to study fine arts at The Savannah College of Art & Design and has been a tour guide since 1989. At age 25, he opened his own publishing company, Jones Street Productions Inc, and published the city’s most advanced and specialized maps and travel guides. He has taken an active stand for “better information” for visitors and locals alike through his many endeavors. His fervid love for Savannah’s history began with pioneering the first tours focusing on women’s history, architecture, Civil & Revolutionary Wars, and an entire tour just dealing with Savannah's River Street. This broadbased understanding of the Low Country ultimately added to the richness of his ghost stories. In 1999, Scott became a part of the creative team responsible for the Fox Family Channel Hit, “Scariest Places On Earth” hosted by Linda Blair (The Exorcist) & narrated by Zelda Rubenstein (Poltergeist). He served as story researcher and produced a number of episodes for the Southeast. In 2002, he organized the first annual parapsychology conference for the country’s most recognized field research group, The American Institute of Parapsychology, and personally received the group’s highest honorarium of “America’s Most Haunted City”™ on behalf of the City of Savannah. He was further honored with being made Georgia Sectional Director of The A.I.P. The city’s receiving the honor became the largest worldwide news story to hit Savannah since the publishing success, Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil. In 2005, “The New York Times” voted Sixth Sense Savannah as the only tour company among its “Top 10 Things To Do When In Savannah” A followup in 2007 from The New York Times” once more complimented his 2nd touring venture America’s Most Haunted City™ as its pick for a top shelf family driven tour. The same year, Scott sold documentary production rights to, America’s Most Haunted City - Part One and is slated for release in Fall of 2009. The 2 hour documentary represents over 10 years of research and film record. Shannon believes the story in the making as its the first time an insider has shared Savannah's stories with the outside world using such a medium. Scott served as Executive Producer, narrator, interviewer and on camera host.
2009 marked another pivotal year as Scott joined forces with writer Dr. Tony Chiorazzi and composer Edwin Brown in forming Bonaventure Film Studios. Brown composed the original soundtrack for America's Most Haunted City - Part One, while Chiorazzi is a major film studio screenplay author now living in Savannah. Together, Scott and Chiorazzi are on the verge of producing several projects, putting their first feature film into production called The Cemetery in Spring of 2010.
