For many years I have been involved in paranormal
research. Being the only researcher in my
local area I am always getting emails and
claims of ghostly activity. What I have to
remind people is that I research not investigate
paranormal activity. However one claim came
into my email box which I could not ignore.
An elderly lady begging for my help in claims
that her deceased husband was trying to kill
her. Normally I would refer her to a professional
investigation team but this time I picked
up the phone and called her scheduling a time
to visit. My intentions were to simply discuss
the situation with her and offer some alternatives
to possibly ease her mind.
When I entered the house I
immediately felt uncomfortable. There was
a certain atmosphere to the house that was
sickening almost breath taking. We sat in
the kitchen around the dinner table as she
poured her feelings out to me and explained
her claims. I decided to walk through the
house alone, and try to pick up on any negative
energy.
I noticed the ladies cat following
me through the house, in and out of each room.
As I opened the door to the bedroom where
she claimed to see the spirit most, the feline
stopped and refused to go any further. I found
this strange and picked the cat up in my arms
and carried it into the room with me. The
air in the room was stiff and felt as if someone
had knocked the breath right out of my body.
I started feeling dizzy and very ill. I placed
the cat on the bed and sit down for a moment
myself. Every hair on the cats body was fringed
and his eyes were dilated enormously.
Although I did not see anything
paranormal I defiantly felt it. And the feeling
it gave was very uncomfortable and uneasy.
I suddenly remembered a part of the email
she had sent me a few days earlier. She stated
that the day they were married her husband
told her that even in death he would never
leave her. So I decided to ask a few questions
aloud even though I had no recording devices
I was in hopes of some sort of physical reply.
My first and only question was
"Are you unhappy that your wife is not
with you?" Within mere seconds of this
question the cat sitting beside me made a
loud hiss and jumped from the bed to the window
approximately 5 feet away. The cat kept watching
the area behind me as if someone or something
was there. I turned to look and a puff of
icy air swept across my body.
I decided to leave the room,
and the cat was ahead of me leading the way.
I explained to the lady that she was in need
of an investigation team as soon as possible.
But she refused any such help. A few days
later the lady was placed in the hospital
for dehydration, and later went to live with
her daughter in another state.
Months later I received another
email from the lady telling me that the spirit
had followed her and was now taking residence
in the home of her daughter. A new family
had moved into her former home so I decided
to ask them if I could visit the home one
last time. They were eager to allow me inside
of their home, and curious if I felt the same
stressful feelings I had encountered there
months before.
As I walked into the bedroom
the air was light and fresh and nothing to
the nature as before. The overall feeling
in the home was much different and there were
no uneasy feelings to be found anywhere.
Almost a year later I received
a phone call from the daughter of the elderly
lady. She notified me that her mother had
passed away peacefully in her sleep, and that
the paranormal activity in the house had ceased.
This opened up many questions for me in researching
paranormal activity. Can cats sense paranormal
beings? Does paranormal activity follow individuals?
And do spirits come back to wait for and collect
those left behind?
After endless hours discussing these questions
with reputable investigators and digging deeper
into researching these questions. Only one
answer can be concluded for each of the questions
at hand.
Yes, it has been proven many
times over that cats are ten times more likely
to pick up on unnatural forces around us.
Why this is true is not known as of yet. But
many investigators and scientist believe that
felines sense paranormal activity before humans
ever notice anything different.
Yes, spirits can and will follow
individuals from residence to residence. This
being because they have an attachment to the
person for one reason or another. So if your
house is in fact haunted and the spirit seems
to revolve around one particular person, simply
moving will not end the activity.
And yes spirits of loved ones
passed can come back for many reasons. Sometimes
they simply do not know they are dead and
continue trying to live life as normal. They
may also come back feeling the need to guard
and protect the ones left behind. And it is
not uncommon in the least for spirits to begin
showing up when someone is ill or near death.
Many experts believe this is because they
come back to escort their loved ones over
to the other side or to comfort them in their
time of sickness and fear. And in some cases
it is believed that when someone close to
you passes away their spirit never really
rest until the one they love is able to cross
over with them.
The questions related to paranormal
activity is an ever growing list. Most of
these questions can be answered with scientific
facts. Others need to be debunked for a natural
and reasonable cause. Yet there are many that
can only be answered as paranormal. In any
case paranormal activity is never a game and
should not be treated as one. It is always
important to come in contact with people who
understand and are knowledgeable in the area.
Never attempt to provoke or anger a spirit.
This can lead to serious and even dangerous
circumstances. If you need assistance there
are paranormal investigators and researchers
in every state across the Untied States. When
seeking help always look for teams that are
creditable and don't be afraid to ask for
references. I am always more than happy to
assist in helping find investigators for people
who feel threatened and in need of help.
And never turn to an Ouija Board
for answers. It has been explained that the
dangers of using an Ouija Board come from
the ease of contacting the "lower spirits"
or the more malevolent spirits that remain
earthbound. These are said to be the criminal
element while in life and those who retain
angry and hostile emotions at death, not having
good intentions. You have no control over
who responds when you evoke spirits by means
of an Ouija Board. That seems to be the one
point everyone agrees upon be they pro or
con to its use. Responding entities have been
known to lie and deceive by the answers they
give, being very convincing by using the name
of the one the user intends to contact. Deception
by claims of being a loved one or the lost
spirit in your home. Ouija Boards are believed
to open doors to violent and even demonic
entities.
